New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. These are towns where you can pay your rent, utilities and eat on $1500 a month or less. Retirement is hard enough for most Americans even more so if you live someplace that isn't affordable like almost all of California.
