10 Cheapest States to Retire 2023 In this video, we are taking a look at what states are the cheapest for retirement here in 2023 and what are you missing out on or dealing with for that life on the cheap. Retirement might mean you stopped working but no matter what, you're not done paying. Retirement costs money. After I did a couple of videos on retirement I started getting requests for a video about the cheapest states for retirement. We did a series of videos like that back in 2020 and figured since so much has changed we need to look again. Today we will look at what states are considered the most affordable for retirees. As we’ve learned on this channel in past videos, it comes with some negatives if it is cheap. I’ll point out the negatives and what you might want to be aware of before you move there. I’m not going to bog the video down with too many numbers because most have to do with tax breaks and exemptions that change every year. The numbers change but the breaks and exemptions normally stay in one form or another.
