Why People Miss Their Flights (It’s Not What You Think)
May 17, 2026
We’ve all seen it—someone sprinting through the airport, bags bouncing, looking stressed out trying to make their flight. And it’s easy to think, “why didn’t they just leave earlier?” But in reality, there are a lot of very real reasons people miss flights… and most of them aren’t about being careless. In this video, we talk about what actually happens. Delayed incoming flights that make tight connections impossible. Traffic, accidents, or construction on the way to the airport. Long security lines that suddenly back up. Having to check a bag when you didn’t plan to. Even getting held up by things completely out of your control. The point isn’t to excuse bad planning—it’s to remind us that travel doesn’t always go smoothly. And sometimes the person running past you isn’t being rude… they’re just trying to salvage a trip that’s already gone sideways. So maybe next time you see someone rushing through the terminal, give them a little grace. You might be in their shoes on your next trip. #TravelTips #AirportLife #BeKindTravel Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFr3sz2t3bDp6Cux08B93KQ/join Filmed in London, Uk Copyright Mark Wolters 2026 We receive a small percentage of sales from links on our videos from companies such as Amazon, Bookings, Expedia, Get Your Guide, and others.
