And whenever you're having bourbon, you need to have some to eat while you're going around. And so today what we have for you are what you should eat when you come to the state of Kentucky

And of course, if we're in Kentucky, the first thing you need to have when you're here is Kentucky Fried Chicken

Well, yes, there is the Colonel who came from Kentucky, and you can actually visit his grave in Louisville

but it's just fried chicken from Kentucky is what you should have when you are here

and you'll see it all over the state. So do get some fried chicken here

And believe me, those 11 herbs and spices the Colonel have is nice, but it's nothing compared to real fried chicken

when you're here in Kentucky, okay? Now, the second thing you have to have when you're here is a hot brown

And honestly, if you're in Louisville, go to the Brown Hotel, see Harold when you're there

but get a hot brown. You're not sure what a hot brown is? imagine a thanksgiving miracle mixed food that you get to have all year round what it is the bottom

then there's a mornay cheese sauce with it there's bacon and tomatoes and and oh they bake it it's

Kentucky is bourbon central. 95% of the world's bourbon is from right here in Kentucky. And honestly

visiting a big distillery or a small distillery, you can try lots of different bourbons that are

the most important bourbon cocktail that people think of when they come to Kentucky is the mint

julep. And what a mint julep is, it's bourbon, shocking I know, and then simple syrup and mint

Now, I'm going to tell you, it's a very strong drink. If I tell people to have one, I'm like, have one and then try to have something else because it can be a bit too strong

And I know people will come like, well, I'm in Kentucky. I have to have a mint chulip

I'm in Louisville. I got to have a mint chulip. And you'll notice the locals don't, you know, don't really drink a bunch of them themselves, but it is something from here

And actually, it's the official drink of Derby. So if you're going to be coming to the Kentucky Derby, you're going to have one when you're there

There's actually another thing you can have in Louisville. It's called the Lily. Okay, this is like a super refreshing drink

Perfect for Derby because it gets so hot sometimes when you're there and you just want something refreshing

It's a vodka with lemon and lime juice, cranberry juice, and orange liqueur

Oh my God, you have that and you're just like, oh, I am so relaxed. But there's a lot of really good alcoholic beverages when you're here

But honestly, go on the bourbon trail, visit some distilleries, and try the bourbon

And then later on when you hit the bars, try some of those bourbon cocktails. And honestly, if you don't like bourbon, you don't like alcohol, the water is actually pretty good here in Kentucky

And what burgo is, it's a stew. I mean, it's got meat, it's got veggies. Think of like a super, super, super thick meat and veggie stew

And basically what Benedictine dip or whatever you want to call it is it basically cream cheese And they put cucumber juice in there a little onion juice mix it up and you can you know use it as a dip or you can put it on bread and make it into a sandwich It one of those kind of refreshing eats you have to kind of beat the summer sun when you are

here. Now, another thing you might have heard of from Kentucky is barbecue. And yes, Lexington

Barbecue is famous, and so obviously you want to try that. But here's the kind of barbecue that's

local kind of citrus kind of it's like a mix of ginger ale and mountain dew that gives you an idea

what L.A. it is you know a late one L.A. another thing you can actually have is you can get moonshine

yes they sell legal moonshine here you can pick that up to take it home as well but honestly when

you come to Kentucky you have such a wide range of foods to have because it is a southern state

but it also has a lot of midwestern in it so you have a lot of like mixed stuff so you see a lot of

steakhouses someplace and you'll see seafood in place like where that come from
