it's my birthday at the weekend and
0:02
because I'm a control freak I wanted to
0:04
make my own cake and I wanted it to be
0:06
really nostalgic I wanted it to be white
0:09
chocolate I wanted it to be kind of pink
0:11
like those ones that you used to get at
0:14
Primary School the little sponges with
0:16
custard and I wanted it to be covered
0:19
with hundreds and thousands so this is
0:21
what I did I got some castor sugar and
0:24
butter mixed those together then cracked
0:27
in three eggs one at a time and mixed
0:29
those into
0:30
this is my standard loaf cake recipe
0:32
that I use every single time and it
0:34
always works that's 225 g of
0:37
self-raising flour that I put in there
0:38
as well and then I went in with a few
0:41
drops of red food coloring this is to
0:43
get that kind of Pinky color just like
0:47
you used to get at school then some
0:49
white chocolate chips give that a good
0:51
mix while being careful not to over mix
0:54
then spooned into a loaf tin lined with
0:57
a loaf line loaf tin liner and then all
1:00
went in the oven at 170° for about an
1:04
hour to make the icing I mixed up 50 gs
1:08
of icing sugar with a few drops of water
1:11
and then got my cooled cake and just
1:14
drizzled that over the top I wanted this
1:16
icing to be runny to run down the sides
1:19
of the cake again just like you would
1:20
get in school I wanted it to be so
1:23
nostalgic then covered it in these
1:25
little Rainbow hundreds and thousands
1:28
and it looked like this and and I'm
1:30
delighted yes I did make a wish when I
1:33
cut the cake I'm not telling you what it
1:35
is but I hope it comes true happy
1:38
birthday to me
