some nights you need a dinner that's
0:02
basically just chucking things in a pan
0:04
and letting it do its thing and that's
0:06
what this Tom car soup is get your pan
0:09
and add a tin of coconut milk and a
0:12
liter of vegetable stock then you can
0:14
add the rest of your ingredients two
0:16
bashed up lemongrass sticks one chili I
0:20
leave mine whole just so that it infuses
0:22
because I feed a toddler too but you can
0:25
slice it up if you like it spicier then
0:28
add a spoonful of
0:30
gangle I use a pre-chopped one because
0:33
it's easier to get hold of from my local
0:35
supermarkets and lime leaves then 2
0:39
tablespoons of fish sauce and just pop
0:42
that on the hob until it comes to a
0:43
simmer then add raw prawns cook for a
0:47
couple of minutes and then you can add
0:49
your rice
0:50
noodles I mean when I say this is such
0:53
an easy recipe it's literally just
0:54
adding things to a pot I've added some
0:57
lime juice there as well just for a bit
0:59
of sourness
1:00
traditionally this is a fairly hot and
1:03
sour soup but like I say catering for a
1:06
toddler means that my chili stays whole
1:09
just to infuse and is removed afterwards
1:12
now let those rice noodles cook for a
1:15
few seconds then add chopped fresh herbs
1:19
this is mint and Basel and you need a
1:21
lot of it for that really delicious
1:23
fresh flavor and that's it you're done
1:26
top with a few extra hips some sliced
1:29
chili if you like it and enjoy this is a
1:33
really simple easy dish for a busy
1:36
evening
