Erta Ale volcano lava fountain and lava overflow 19 Jan 2017

During the last days before collapsing, the active lava lake of Erta Ale volcano in northern Ethiopia produced intermittent overflows and spectacular lava fountaining at its southern end, which quickly built a new temporary cone (left in the video).
