Are Wyze devices safe to use?
Jan 11, 2023
It was recently reported that over 2.4 million customer records were exposed on a publically accessible server. Data allegedly leaked was customer data including the location of cameras, home details and possibly even security credentials. As a security measure, Wyze reset all security tokens and is investigating the claim. Unfortunately, the breach was not first released to Wyze before being released to the public. This would have allowed Wyze time to ramp up servers and anticipate the load created by resetting all tokens.

š About this channel: My name is Carlo. I've been running Home Assistant for a BUNCH of years. Almost from the very beginning actually. This channel is focused on bringing what I have implemented at my own house to you so that you can bring it to your house. The channel will be a mix of reviews, tutorials, and inspiration. It is a companion to my GitHub site that holds all the code for my Smart Home and my main site where I keep the more in-depth technical writings. I hope you will enjoy the videos and consider subscribing.
