hold on the camera is going nuts there we go
0:57
I'm here welcome back everyone welcome to the live stream tonight uh hope everybody is traveling safe getting to
1:04
Thanksgiving which is tomorrow if you're watching this video live tonight um I've
1:09
got a bunch of boxes coming in the shop and you know that means or what that must mean is I have a new build so we do
1:16
have a new build coming into the shop and uh I'm really excited so as the
1:22
boxes come in I want to talk about what's happening because I am actually doing this in a more organized way that
1:29
I've done it the past and uh I am pretty excited about
1:35
it uh the van that we are working on currently uh it's very detailed a lot of
1:41
cool systems and stuff like that but this van behind me I want to take you guys kind of on a journey through the live streams going over the next couple
1:47
months uh because this is a scheduled customer build behind us and uh just a
1:53
little bit more of approach on how I plan the parts that are coming in why I chose them and then how all that stuff
1:59
happen happens so I'm trying to see what Jamie's
2:06
laughing [Laughter] at all
2:12
right um yeah so we got a couple boxes behind us uh we're going to talk about
2:17
three companies today we're going to talk about now this is not sponsored uh but we're going to talk about uh agile
2:24
off-road then we're going to talk about um unaka and we're going to talk about
2:30
explor stli uh which is Nate he's a YouTuber he does a lot of DIY uh van
2:36
content uh more on the electrical side but really helps you learn how to build a camper van kind of like what I'm doing
2:43
with you guys and uh there's a lot of there's some stuff behind the scenes I didn't know he was doing and I'm kind of
2:49
picking up on that so we're going to talk about it it has to do with h a product that I
2:54
purchased all right first up we have this box right here so this is our AG
3:01
off-road um it's a water tank from AG Offroad but it's uh it's made oh you're
3:08
laughing at the camera uh let's see here let me Zoom let me make this there we go let's get those
3:14
nice comments nice and big um all right agile Offroad they have uh
3:23
Transit Parts they have a whole Transit shop if you guys are interested in uh purchasing some products so I'm going
3:29
look at them one of the products they sell comes from a company called Northwest conversions so they are a
3:34
water tank company they make really nice custom water tanks for both Transit and Sprinter Sprinter um I think they make
3:42
them for ProMaster but let's go ahead and take a look so we're going to talk about agel
3:47
Offroad uh oh yeah one more I forgot about which is Vmax um they're right in North Carolina
3:56
uh not too not too far away from where I'm at but they sell W basto parts and
4:02
then this uh Rich solar is going to be the explore St life thing that I talk
4:07
about all right let's get right into it so the first thing we're going to go to is agile off-road again this is not
4:15
sponsored but just really good information for you guys if you are getting into the van build world and
4:21
you're overwhelmed with all the stuff um this is a guide to help you
4:28
start choosing some things um it took me a long time to find these vendors uh it
4:35
could be stuff that I found it took me 5 minutes or maybe it took me a year or two seriously so one company is agile
4:42
off-road and they carry products uh they don't they may have some stuff they
4:47
manufacture I'm not sure I just know that they're they're a place where I found the first
4:54
undermount water tank for a Ford Transit uh so throughout my van building
5:00
it's been very challenging to find bolt-on parts and that's not just to help you guys with the DIY this is to
5:07
help me install the part uh if you can
5:12
imagine going to a company that uh makes a bunch of water tanks there's no
5:17
mounting there's no bracketry or anything like that and you're trying to figure out how to put a tank right take
5:23
underneath the van for a customer and you want it to not fall on the floor you want it to last for a long time but you
5:29
also don't want to make something that's kind of weird and it might cut into the tank over time so when somebody provides
5:37
a solution that's where I get really excited and this is where uh I find
5:42
stuff like this so one day I was on ad Al Road and I was like what is this and
5:48
this this is not what I bought by the way I'm just we're getting there so this
5:53
is an undermount tank specifically made for the Ford Transit they make two different pieces they make make one for
6:00
the driver's side which on a Ford Transit is a nice uh Square rectangular
6:06
opening and then they make one for the passenger side that allows for the step
6:11
so there's a little Notch out of from it which is this one right
6:18
here so you can see there's a notch out of the top of it so that's really
6:24
cool um I recently bought a 40G tank for the van that I've been working on that you guys have seen in the shop however
6:32
that tank has now changed and we have two different versions now we have a 36
6:38
instead of a 40 and we have a 30 gallon tank so the one in behind me that I
6:44
purchased is the 36 gon wheel well over the wheel well tank um even though it's
6:51
underneath the Ford uh purchasing right here uh it's technically a sprinter water tank um but
6:58
the nice thing is the wheel well on the Sprinter I think is bigger so this will fit no problem in
7:04
a Ford Transit and hence why it is underneath the Ford Transit but if you guys are looking for
7:10
a solution for an undermount gray tank AG off-road has these two now the company is Northwest conversions you can
7:16
go straight to their website um and I've bought one from them but
7:23
sometimes I just go to agel Offroad the price is the same there's no difference but yeah behind me and box is
7:30
this water tank all right so next up so that's I'll
7:37
draw off road nice simple water tanks easy to get uh let's do a quick Google of Northwest
7:48
conversions uh we got a question uh did RIT
7:54
did okay so TC I will get back to that question in just a minute
8:00
um I'll do the solar panels next so the Northwest conversions
8:06
um where is this here we go so this is the
8:22
company website's kind of slow but these are the tanks you see it's exact same
8:28
one so this is the actual company that makes them so you can buy it through
8:34
here um but sometimes there's some other parts I might buy through agile anyway price is the same all right we'll check
8:40
those off our list now let's get back to the uh solar panels uh TC asked a good
8:46
question about did the the do the rich solar panels fit into the Flatline vanco
8:52
lowpro roof rck the answer is no so that is why I mentioned
8:58
unaka um unaka and the explor stat life kind of working together so what has
9:06
been created is you have let's see if I get fancy with my screen
9:13
here okay so what you have is you have two companies you've got unaka on the
9:19
left with the four Transit roof rack and the explorers. life Edition and
9:27
then you got explor life solar panel I'm going explain how all this makes sense in a second all right so you got the two
9:34
companies one makes the roof rack one found solar panels to fit so you can maximize the
9:42
space on top of a Ford Transit okay so pause right there let's go back
9:49
to uh the question on the Flatline vanco roof rack um so this is a challenge that
9:56
I was dealing with so if we go to Flatline vanco
10:02
now I like flight line van Co the the van that we're working on I've got all all their stuff because I think they
10:08
make really great stuff uh the roof wrecks are great construction everything's great however I think
10:16
something that would really help them out is under Transit and exterior Parts
10:22
if we go to their Transit low proo high roof
10:27
rack uh uh it looks really good it's a good looking roof rack it's built extremely
10:35
well um however this is what I think if they could improve this is where this is
10:42
where I would improve if I were them um I got to find it here we
10:51
go so this is this is the challenge here is the width so the width of the
10:59
roof rack is 57.3 in um the challenge
11:06
is that's not a good number for the solar panel Market if you want to have a
11:11
solar panel widthwise just in my experience putting
11:16
these Vans together Thomas' van the one that's in front of me it's just it's not
11:22
wide enough if they were if it was 60 in that would be a great place to
11:27
start so what I think happened was
11:33
um see Nate from explorers. Life he's got a YouTube channel he's over here on
11:38
the right side uh and this is in a YouTube video
11:45
that he did so I'm not trying to put words in his mouth but what he was what he said was he reached out to unaka and
11:52
said hey can you guys uh build a roof rack where I can map out and get the
12:00
maximum amount of solar that's possible on a Ford Transit roof and they were interested and this is kind of the this
12:07
is the culmination of their e efforts so this roof
12:12
wreck um where are the
12:23
dimensions see here
12:42
I don't think this is going to give me
12:47
Dimensions it's this live stream is almost like a website audit it's just
12:53
you have one that's really nice got a picture with all the measurements and then the one that I want to go with is
12:59
lacking on information unless I can't see it but I'm looking and I can't find it
13:05
anywhere okay so what I do know is they teamed up together the these two panels
13:12
right here are what's behind me these are the two two uh two of the 200 watt panels
13:19
and then over here uh these two right here by the max
13:24
fan those are
13:30
these two these uh these 55 Watts right here and
13:36
then um the ones uh flanking the nomatic X3
13:44
rooftop AC are these right here the 35 so two 35s so two 200s 2 55s 2
13:57
35s so let's see
14:04
[Laughter] here uh oh man I'm I'm all over the
14:10
wrong buttons here tonight let's see here so we've
14:15
got give me one second see those are the
14:23
55s and then the 35s yeah so this roof rack allows you to
14:29
do 580 watts of solar so let's get into the
14:35
dimensions uh I you guys can correct me if I'm wrong
14:40
but I believe so Nate from explor life actually got the 35 watt and 55 watt
14:46
panels manufactured by Rich solar so that they can actually fit I don't think they actually existed on the market I
14:52
think the 200 watt panel did but the other ones didn't all right so let's get to the width of the 200 watt p
15:01
panel so over here the width of the
15:12
panel 58.7 so you can see 58.7 and then if we go to Flatline vanco
15:20
we got 57.3 and so I'm just not sure
15:27
why 60 inches wouldn't be the way that they would make their panel I mean their
15:32
roof rack I think I would say that in the future that is something they may
15:39
change um anyway let's get back to
15:44
inaka so long story short what I'm doing here is I'm putting these two panels
15:50
we're we're just doing the exact same thing we're going to we have to knock a uh roof rack on the way and that has to
15:57
been the very first thing that we do this van because uh once the roof reck's
16:03
in and the solar is on I need to find out where I'm going to
16:08
locate the max fan and you may be wondering well Nick it's it's already on
16:13
this picture here you're just going to located right there well here's the catch we're using
16:19
a uh we're doing ecoflow power system we're doing the power kit the five uh
16:24
kilow hour power kit and
16:30
the power kit is a 48 volt system and we're using the brand new it's not even
16:35
available yet um they hope to be shipping mid December and that's going
16:42
to be the new 48volt nomatic X2 AC so the one that's in the picture right here
16:49
this one in the picture this is the uh this is the
16:54
X3 uh it's very expensive um probably with shipping in tax ma is close to
16:59
4,000 so uh it's not necessary for what we're
17:05
doing uh the BTUs of the smaller
17:10
X2 are actually a little bit more than the dedic RTX 2000 I'm doing in the van not
17:18
this van the other van the one van behind this uh this
17:23
desk um okay let me catch up with TC here so
17:31
yeah the new Power new power 200 watt panel so that's what I had to use I had to I bought that one um to use on the
17:38
Flatline vanco roof rack uh you're building with a 15 kilowatt
17:45
hour wow that's pretty nice that's pretty nice I mean that's a that's a killer
17:52
system you don't even need solar if you got 15 kilowatt hours you just charge up in and last for
18:00
a whole week um yeah but the the unaka is uh I'm going to take it I'm GNA try
18:07
it I like how they're kind of working together I've been following Nate on his YouTube channel for a long time
18:14
and the fact that the solar Ps are on that was a
18:19
collaboration is is pretty cool so um yeah I would say that's a pretty good
18:26
vetted uh product so but I need to do so the X2
18:32
let's go to all right we're going to go down a wormhole here
18:38
so going to go to nomatic
18:44
cooling uh so what's on the van you just saw the unaka rooftop so right here this
18:52
is the pneumatic X3 unit 4vt and a 48volt
18:57
version however these are you can see right here they're
19:04
around they're uh it they're really nice and
19:09
but the BTUs are way they're a lot um well how many BTUs is
19:17
it see this is 11,830 and then the
19:27
X2
19:49
okay the x3 yeah X3 is 15,120
19:56
so let's put that into comparison of the
20:01
RTX I can't spell RTX
20:18
2000 yeah RTX 2000 is
20:23
6,824 and the X3 is 15,000 so yeah we
20:28
definitely don't need that so with X2 is what we're going to go
20:34
with and the X2 it's a smaller footprint and I'm
20:40
going to get to the roof rack here in just a second I'm just looking this up really quick so yeah so
20:45
12,150 versus 6,824 it's it's pretty incredible
20:55
um and what's even more incredible about this is look at the current draw so eco
21:00
mode is eight amps it only pulls eight amps in eco mode Max is 15 amps
21:09
it's it almost sounds too good to be true so we'll we'll see what happens
21:14
when we uh we get it in and do a test um there may be a moment in time where I
21:21
can uh if the uh van that I'm working on if it
21:27
sells before obviously I can't do the test but there might be a time where I could test
21:32
the both before the other one sells okay so the reason I'm mentioning
21:39
that is the AC unit for the I know you guys can't see that the AC unit for the
21:47
X2 is 28 in Long 22 in wide so 2822 so
21:54
remember that then the X3
22:04
so 2822 versus 3131 28 29 30 31 so okay that's not
22:11
actually that big of a deal um now that I'm talking
22:22
through 31 hold on a second
22:30
guys I got my brain going now 31 22 that's 10 Ines
22:45
huh no I'm just thinking 10 there's no way no that's like way more than that
22:52
yeah so this the setup it'll just it'll probably be you know 5 in less on this side and then five inch less on this
22:59
side and then 3 in less right here so it won't be that significant it'll
23:05
still have to have the same footprint um I was seeing if you know maybe I could do two more 55 Watts instead of because
23:11
it was skinnier anyway
23:16
um so TC said I didn't put a secondary alternator in my van though probably going to do the slow charge from the
23:24
stock yeah cuz I think the the Eco that power kits Max out at 60 amps for
23:29
alternator charging I I don't think there's another way you could charge it unless
23:36
you I mean what you'd have to get a 48 volt alternator with
23:45
uh and use the shore power plugin I'm not sure you have to do something to
23:50
bypass what the had all right so that is these two
23:56
panels these two panels uh so finally let's talk about this one right over
24:02
here this is the uh Vmax uh it is a company in North Carolina I'm going to
24:09
pull up their website and they are excellent to work with there's somebody you can actually
24:16
talk on the phone if you have any questions it's not sponsored this is not a sponsored bit here but this is their
24:26
website and so they do uh they have Webasto heating
24:33
kits um compress they have they do other stuff they have big equipment and then they do vans but what I like about them
24:41
is I've already kind of put a little cart together so I can talk about a couple products that we're putting in the van
24:48
behind me so I put a Evo an airtop EVO 40 in
24:55
the van over here and I think it's a little Overkill um a lot of stuff in
25:02
that van is overkill and I think this next series that we're going to be doing on the van behind me it's going to be
25:08
more in line with the DIY and also to uh I think it'll be really good for you
25:16
guys to uh it's more of a DIY approach stuff that is not you know super highend
25:22
which is not a bad thing but you know stuff gets expensive really quick so if I can find a different Solution that's
25:29
just excellent solution and it also saves money and does the same thing I'm
25:34
happy so instead of the 4,000 kilowatt we're going to the 2,000 which is plenty
25:40
of heat for a van a van is a it's not a big space so I think the air toop
25:47
units that's a that's a lot of heat um so this one is the 2 kwatt
25:53
version and I started to research this and the reason I'm talking about Vmax is
25:59
I was under the impression when I got the air toop 40 that that was the only one that would
26:07
allow the Bluetooth control uh which is not true there's a couple of there's a cable and a kit that
26:14
you can daisy chain together to have the functionality of a
26:19
Bluetooth um of the the Bluetooth 3.0 which I'll talk about in just a second
26:25
capability in a 2kw wo system the other benefit of working with
26:31
Vmax or buying something from them
26:37
is some Webasto kits I don't know why this is not a standard on the internet
26:43
um but it's really nice what they did this kit you see in front of you it's actually they've put this together
26:48
in-house this is a custom kit because if you if you buy a Webasto 2kw kit you'll
26:55
see it it's cheaper online but it's missing Parts it's missing the muffler
27:00
and it's missing the intake uh air it's it's not a filter
27:06
it's kind of like an air intake muffler for noise also helps you know bugs and
27:12
stuff like that not get inside so those two parts are in this kit so he puts them into this kit he
27:18
also puts the uh specific vehicle or vehicle specific fuel tap so if you have
27:27
have a Ram ProMaster or you have a sprinter or you have a Ford Transit for example so inside this kit there is
27:39
a what is it called um see if I can look it
27:48
up so Ford Transit this right here so this is the this is what you you got to
27:55
have so if you have a Ford Transit there is a fix fitting on top of the
28:01
tank it's the auxiliary fuel port and this snaps right into it it's a factory
28:06
Ford part from Ford you open up uh the cap on
28:13
the auxiliary port you click this one in and you're done it's already set you don't have to do anything else you do
28:19
have to lower the fuel tank to get this in here it's not that big of a deal but
28:26
this one part is 55 bucks makes it so easy to
28:31
install um so what makes it nice is this kit not
28:36
only has the muffler and the intake silencer it has that Ford fuel tank
28:41
fitting in the kit So when you buy the kit you're not having to buy the kit and then start to buy the other stuff extra
28:48
it's already in a kit if you want to have the smart temp
28:54
control you buy the kit and then you you buy the this wiring Webasto wiring
29:00
harness so the part number 50139 29b you buy
29:06
that that goes into this kit here and then that has a in connection
29:15
that goes and connects into the uh weasa smart temp
29:20
control and this gives you the uh smart temp functionality more
29:27
like it's it acts like you know like a thermostate you have at home and it is Bluetooth so if you're in bed you know
29:34
it's cold you want to turn the heat on before you get out of bed you can do it on your phone it's pretty cool
29:40
um yeah so I kind of found out the hard way when I did the first van that we had in the shop the spec van build um so for
29:48
this next one something I learned is talk to U Vmax we got set up with this
29:54
and that is what is in the this box here so we get the whole kit uh it just it's
30:00
really cool that they're in North Carolina I know that doesn't really mean anything to anybody out there on the internet but for me you know if I need a
30:07
part it comes really quick because he keeps that stuff in stock all right guys uh I'm open for
30:14
some questions if anybody in the live stream would like to have some questions before I leave the shop and get ready
30:21
for my Thanksgiving um so while I'm waiting to see some
30:28
questions come through I wanted to talk to you guys about the DIY van build cheat sheet so if you guys didn't know I
30:34
have put together a DIY van build cheat sheet with over 250 curated parts from
30:40
Amazon it's essentially my shopping cart from the last three years of doing van builds and buying all the stuff of
30:47
Amazon so what I did is I took it I organized it and a bunch of different
30:52
categories that I bought from put the Amazon link and it is complet completely
30:57
free for you guys to download so you can go through and all the work that I did trying to find all these electrical
31:03
components um Fasteners stuff for the 8020 Hardware uh the max fan um what do we
31:11
got in here we've got uh four-way stretch carpet uh air air compressors from ARB
31:17
the scan strut Roofing uh cable seals that I use solar we got a lot of Renegy
31:23
stuff on here I still use Renegy I'm using Rich solar because uh that has to do with uh dimensions that's all it is
31:31
it has nothing to do with the panel it's just what fits uh the most important thing on here
31:36
is tools I tell you guys if you buy these tools it's going to help you make the
31:42
van that much quicker it's everything you need we've got a rivet nut tool that I used when I did the uh Adventure wagon
31:50
install we've got carbide drill bits uh we've got astromatic rivnut adapter kit
31:57
uh you know soldering station uh the propex expansion tool I
32:04
know that thing is super expensive but I'm telling you it makes the PEX a install for your plumbing super easy
32:12
we've got the water system we got the RVA sink that everybody loves um and then we got a sea flow water pump and
32:19
strainer now this pump right here if you guys click on it I don't use an accumulator with this pump and it ramps
32:26
up nice and slow ramps down nice and slow not a lot of surging or pulsing so
32:31
I like it a lot anyway it's a super cool list you can
32:36
check it out van hq.com or you can click on the link in the description below put your name and email address it'll come
32:42
straight to your inbox and just a good way to uh jump start your van build with
32:47
a couple parts that are handy it's a growing list we have more and more parts coming up we're getting ready to do a
32:52
big overhaul on it uh next month so start to look out for that we'll have
32:58
more stuff uh coming which is pretty exciting and uh
33:04
yeah last but not least wanted to talk about my van business Odyssey custom
33:10
vans so the van right here is what what do we got here we got a
33:16
question any suggestions [Music] on hold on let me move this out of the
33:25
way any suggestions on the rooftop cable box
33:32
I'm planning three to five lights mounting to the roof rack 3x2 panels One
33:37
Max ban Pama and
33:42
starlink uh okay C TC so believe it or not let me see if I get a picture here
33:48
for you so I actually I use cable glands so I'm just
33:56
go come over here here I have it on the shelf and I actually run the wires
34:01
individually so for example if I'm doing the awning I get my cable gland kit and I do
34:09
the awning let me get back
34:17
here so let's see here so this is you can see cable
34:24
glands they look like this you can find whatever wire size you're
34:30
working with so for example I use these a lot
34:35
and then I use stuff like this for
34:40
solar and some of you call me crazy but this is what I use for all of my roof
34:46
connections I may have four of these in one back corner of a roof and then I may
34:52
have two more in this corner of the roof and then I may have two more up in the front
34:58
um so I do that on purpose I feel it's really messy this just my personal opinion I feel it's really messy to cut
35:04
a big you know two or three inch hole in the roof and then have all the cables kind of coming out it and you're trying
35:11
to seal that up uh for two reasons one I just think it's messy two when you go to
35:19
troubleshoot something say on top of your roof you have the back of your van and you have your solar panels in a line
35:26
so you got positive negative positive negative positive negative they're all individual and let's say something
35:32
happened to this one line it got cut or damaged and you need to replace it with the cable glands you don't have to worry
35:38
about the ones that are not damaged you can just loosen this pull out the one
35:44
that's bad tighten this back down put a little bit more lapsy on it and you're
35:49
good to go so it makes mainenance really easy um I've had zero issues with these
35:54
leaking because what I do is when I when I take this I'll uh I'll put some RTV on
36:01
this bottom side and I'll turn it in and I'll put this underneath the sheet metal when that dries that's a permanent Bond
36:08
then I'll put my wire in nail it down and then I'll do one beat of lap cyant
36:14
around here and the top and I mean it's good forever that's my suggestion
36:23
um so the thing with I guess the thing with the starlink is it's a little bit
36:29
more complex because the starlink is going to have the power supply cable and then it's going to have the
36:35
Communication cable and um if I were doing
36:43
that uh on the van build DIY van build cheat sheet so not doing a plug here but
36:50
let's just use that for an example and go to
36:55
scan so click it and do control F and do scan scan
37:02
strut uh so see the scan strut right here so you want to find let's just copy
37:09
this the ds40 p uh now I do use the scan strut so I
37:16
use the cable glands for all of my power and solar the scan strut is what I use for
37:24
technical stuff like uh it antenna from Ford relocation or it's something I
37:30
would use for the star link and I'll explain why here so if we just hit copy DS
37:35
40p let's go to [Music]
37:43
Amazon DS 4-p
37:49
[Music] scan strut okay so this is the company's
37:55
scan strut scan strut is all of the deck seals for Yachts you know million dollar
38:02
yachts like super high-end this is a super high-end Boat Company
38:09
so what I do is i' use so they have different
38:16
sizes I think this is it 40p uh I wish they would give better
38:25
pictures um let me see if I can go their website
38:30
because this is
38:39
important of course of course eBay has a better photo that's hilarious good
38:46
Lord okay what I'm trying to point out is do you see this slit right here so
38:53
this slit uh it's this is the most important part this slit is what allows you for
39:01
example uh on a for Transit I need to relocate the antenna forward of the uh
39:11
solar panels because if the satellite nten is underneath the solar panels it doesn't work well or if at all it might
39:16
not work I've never tried it I don't risk it so I move it out and put it up but I can't cut that satellite cable
39:22
because there's no way I can fix that so what I do is is I use the scan strut and
39:28
it it wraps around it's a three-part system so this little dut has a slit in
39:36
it and you wrap it around the cable and then this compression compresses it
39:43
down and then once it's compressed down uh this is the truth I take Flex
39:50
Seal and I put a piece of duct tape underneath the scan strut and I pour I
39:57
take a little syringe and I suck it out of the little pint jar and I take a syringe and I put flex seill down
40:06
into the uh the roof gland so you buy this right here this is
40:14
the uh this is the liquid man what is wrong with my
40:19
camera it's just going all over the shop there we go I'm
40:25
back so I do Flex seill not sponsored but uh right here the liquid in the
40:32
can and I use that and I pour it into this
40:38
hole and then I keep pouring it until there's like a little Crest on uh the
40:44
top of the scan strut and then you have this super nice custom very professional
40:52
looking uh seal that you've done let's see I'm G let's see if I can
41:00
find where did I put that picture see if I can find the
41:25
picture uh maybe I have it let's see here I actually might have it on my
41:31
website
41:36
here oh here you go so if you so TC if you can see
41:47
that so see how I have those uh roof glands right there so it's super clean
41:52
it's not messy I I just think it's a a better
41:58
better way to do it and where is oh here it is here it is
42:04
here it is so that is the Ford antenna that I relocate that's what it looks like when
42:10
it's finished and I put it in its new um it's new
42:25
location
42:33
uh is there anything else that I do on the
42:42
Roof oh the other thing I use so I use this for uh this the furion as well
42:53
as come on internet for this and for example this this light
43:01
this scene light has to be screwed through the body panel or the sheet
43:07
metal and what I use is I use
43:16
uh see if I can find find it it's called a Ultra black it's a RTV sealant it's a black
43:24
RTV sealant let's see
43:31
here
43:37
RTV right here so this is what you want to use you want to use this uh Ultra black
43:44
RTV gasket maker you want to use that on the
43:52
gland so you only put that gasket maker right here so see where these uh threads
43:59
are or where this little this rubber gasket is you put it underneath that so
44:05
then when you screw this in it smushes it in and then you have
44:11
this and then your uh your sheet metal so that's in the sheet metal so this is what's Exposed on
44:18
top of your van and you take this and you put the cap on and then that crimps
44:24
your cable and seals it so the ultra black
44:32
RTV is what goes into the hole and then your
44:43
dor uh uh let's see
44:51
here right here and then you want to buy this D IE
44:57
self-leveling black lap cyant make sure you get black so it matches your
45:02
fittings and it looks professional don't get don't get white
45:08
um because it just it sucks up all the dirt I don't think it looks
45:13
good anyway I think that's a good way to do all that stuff on your roof and you
45:19
know use the scan stretch stuff for the star link cables cables you
45:25
don't want to crimp you know or I'm sure you don't want to uh you know re crimp a network cable or
45:32
something like that um yeah so any more questions let me
45:39
know but right now I'm going to do my little spill on Odyssey custom
45:45
vans so you guys if you interested in a professional van build or the van in this photo which is currently for sale
45:53
we are in the final uh week I got about a week and let's say
45:59
two days to finish the plumbing and wrap up the electrical and hook up the diesel
46:07
heater and we'll be I mean the gasoline hereat we're all set if you want to check out a sneak
46:13
peek of the van check out our YouTube
46:19
channel um hopefully with no advertisements here we go
46:26
so yeah check out the video we did on uh we went to Adventure van Expo in chattanoga Tennessee this year took the
46:34
van there super fun event I suggest anybody go to one Adventure wagon I mean
46:40
good Lord go to one Adventure event Expo throughout the United States there's a bunch of them uh the ones that I try to
46:47
hit are Chattanooga uh we've been to Bend Oregon um there's some in
46:53
Colorado uh really really cool show so this is the van that we took to the
47:01
show um so if you guys are interested in
47:06
purchasing this van this van as of filming this video is currently for
47:12
sale we've got a bunch of uh interior components we've got the adventure wagon
47:17
system is all the interior and then we have uh Flatline vanco for all the other
47:26
components so for example this kitchen Galley is a flatline vanc Galley the iso
47:31
Cruise 130 fridge is a modified Flatline vanco kitchen Galley the seat that I'm
47:38
flipping and folding right now that one is uh made by fredman seating it has an integrated table so I
47:47
mean if you want surface counterop space this van has it for days
47:54
um we got the body sink uh everyone's favorite a lot of nice bamboo accents
48:00
you know the dark Grays ignore the bed pillows and uh blanket that I
48:08
have on there I was uh quickly getting those from Walmart for the show so maybe
48:15
I should have left it with just a mattress but I don't know I tried tried to make it look homey um we've got a
48:22
nice shelf over the passenger and driver's seat again the flip and fold seat is just really easy to flip and
48:29
fold so it's extra seating when you need it it's out of the way when you
48:34
don't uh we actually have a INF floor hidden
48:39
shower so if you look underneath my feet that panel comes up and we have a hidden
48:46
shower um this box over here this is like a flex space so right now it has a
48:51
porta poot in it you could do a portapotty in there it's sized for for a an additional fridge so a drawer 85
49:00
fridge from isotherm um if you wanted to do something with the other side that differently um it even fits a contour uh
49:08
microwave perfectly so if you want drawers there you can do that if you want to have it with a portapotty you
49:14
can do that um it's just a flex space it's a you can put whatever you want in there so I'm leaving that open um until
49:21
the new owner decides what they want to or the future owner decides what they would like to we've got our induction
49:27
cooktop uh also our sprayer nozzles for the hidden shower inside the
49:33
van and then as we keep
49:39
going uh we've got another big drawer and these uh Flatline
49:44
vanco cabinets have some really nice Hardware solid bamboo uh solid bamboo
49:51
drawers really nice if you go with a smaller fridge you do get an additional drawer on the right
49:58
hand side with isotherm uh I just took it out and deleted it overhead we have eight feet of bamboo aluminum cabinets
50:08
mounted to lra they're completely removable you can take them out if you want you can put ones in uh they're
50:14
Adventure wagon compatible System since it is Adventure wagon uh system so if you want to do the adventure wagon mu
50:20
bags you can do them there's a bunch of other companies that do things that fit Adventure wagon if you're interested in
50:27
that uh we got our Max fan the 7500 K with the remote uh we're running the
50:33
Renegy 1 M1 controller um everything is actually networked together so it's
50:40
similar to a victron uh setup um but it's the Renegy version so you're going
50:45
to see your Shore power inputs your battery uh we have 600 amp hours of
50:50
smart lithium iron phosphate smart means that it has the network connection so so
50:55
they they all Daisy change together um not only that the uh three
51:03
of the batteries are self heating so we wanted to make sure that this was a really nice uh winterized vehicle to
51:10
where if it got below freezing half of your battery system can still operate the van until the whole entire van warms
51:17
up um see TC was asking is all the L TR mounting directly bolt directly to the
51:24
factory rivet hole or did you mount them to the wall so interestingly enough uh
51:30
Adventure wagon system is a whole entire system so there's a whole entire internal skele skeleton they call it the
51:37
A-frame and uh it's this powdercoated steel frame that is riveted to the van
51:43
structure and then from there there's tapped holes and it's part of a kit so
51:49
when you go to put the ELR in the ELR actually holds all the interior panels
51:56
uh as well so it's it's a really cool um it's a great system it's a very
52:02
expensive system um that system ranges anywhere from 12,000 to you know
52:09
$166,000 just for the interior system so that's just your interior panels your L
52:14
track um but it does come with insulation it does currently come with a Max fan uh in the package and sound
52:22
deadening material like kilmat so it's a good value but you know sometimes that's
52:28
really hard for somebody to grasp the cost even though the value is really
52:34
good so here's the cabinets um these aluminum cabinets for flat vanco they're
52:39
great I I can do pull-ups on them they're I would not you could put I'm
52:45
not going to say how many pounds but you could put a lot I would do a pull-up on one of those in front of you
52:50
guys um but yeah on the right hand side we've got RI uh this is the reny 300
52:57
watt pure sine wave inverter Rigo system so the Rigo means that it has a built-in
53:02
Bluetooth communication so you don't have to run any wires for it to communicate with the M1 controller uh and then the last thing I
53:09
showed you was the wo smart tip 3.0 which I'm putting in this van behind me
53:14
for the new build um yeah again ignore the cheesy uh
53:22
snowflake sheets on the bed that's a that was in a time crunch I
53:27
know maybe somebody like some people like it uh the back windows are the awning windows from crl we also did the
53:35
uh up here in the front we've got the Raptor Style Grill that is a this is a true Ford product so I ordered this from
53:42
Europe and uh it was it's the ones they put on the transit Trails over in Europe and I
53:50
just had them ship it over to me um sometimes you can find them on E eBay
53:56
but this is a true Ford product Grill that's why it snaps in looks so
54:01
clean uh we power tocode the wheels on this so you know if you guys
54:07
are um thinking of a lowcost solution to uh clean up the van just powder CL
54:15
your factory wheels black they look great uh it's hard to get the correct offset from aftermarket industry there's
54:22
a limited selection so um yes so I use the yep I use the 15
54:29
series for my uh 8020 and I love it the van behind me
54:36
though we will not be using that we will be doing a uh a Wood Construction so um
54:46
you know pocket hole construction that type of thing and uh we're going to be using a uh wall panel kit so it's going
54:52
to be pretty interesting cuz I think it's really going to help you guys as far as the DIY Community you're going to
54:59
feel more comfortable tackling something like this um in this upcoming
55:06
build so this is the roof we got 420 watts and I'm G to back up just a little
55:12
bit because TC you were talking
55:18
about yeah I'm hoping I'm saying that name correctly it says
55:24
TC uh but T you're talking about the new Power panel so this one in the mid so
55:30
the first two here are Renegy 100 watt the compact version with a black frame
55:37
and then right here in the middle this one is you'll laugh at this
55:43
too this is new power's 220 wat panel that no longer exists I don't know what
55:49
happened to it it just disappeared I went back on Amazon can't find it but the exact same listing now as a 200 watt
55:57
panel so this one was a 220 watt it said it's
56:02
on the label but now the exact same one is only 200 Watts so I have no idea I
56:08
have no idea what they're doing but this one in the middle uh is [Music]
56:16
50 what is
56:23
this I think it's 56 what is that
56:30
panel a new power let's see here
56:36
[Music]
56:52
new yeah so this one
57:02
55.2 there was supposed to be a 220 but see it doesn't exist anymore oh
57:09
there it is see but you can't buy it I guess they discontinued it so this
57:16
is what I well you can buy a used one anyway so I bought this
57:22
one 56.6 9 look at that how about how's that
57:27
for internet scouring 56.6 n and a 57.3 usable width so I nailed it
57:37
on that one I don't know how I found this I found it completely by accident but
57:43
uh if you do I guess you already bought
57:48
them cuz you already you already bought your uh solar panels right TC
58:00
anyway this is the one that I was that I bought um I I don't think I guess you can't find it anymore maybe you can buy
58:06
it uh if you haven't bought do you have did you buy the Flatline vancro roof rack
58:23
already
58:29
well I think that's good it's good that you didn't buy both of those because maybe you can take the new knowledge
58:35
that I have or I found and you know maybe buy something
58:40
different um you so instead of unaka another company I almost bought this one
58:46
it's AVC rig so they make stuff for Ford transits
58:54
and and you go to
58:59
store so they make a roof rack that's 60.25
59:10
in so their roof rack is uh 60.25 which is great so this one can fit
59:17
panels much easier um it's a good roof rck too so
59:23
this one and AKA would be the one to be able to fit those unaka apparently the
59:29
biggest panel but
59:35
yeah all right what Wormhole is it going down yeah that was pretty much it I wanted you guys show show you guys the
59:42
van the video so this is the van that is for
59:47
sale that you guys see and not behind me the one that we're finishing up these
59:52
are all the specifications that are in the van it is an EcoBoost which is a turbocharged V6 600 amp hours
1:00:01
lithium um we have a dedic RTX 2000 the we westo airtop Evo 40 so really nice
1:00:09
components uh this is what I think is excellent on this uh we got a 40 gallon
1:00:15
freshwater tank huge we've got a 16g graywater holding tank for the hidden
1:00:21
shower pan dedicated 16 gallon for the hidden shower then we have seven gallons for the sink
1:00:28
gray upgraded upgradeable to 14 gallons that'll fit underneath there under the
1:00:34
sink uh and then we got a fourgon bosot water tank so your water needs are really cover covered uh in that
1:00:42
build and then you got a really nice isotherm Cruise 130 stainless fridge um then a couple of
1:00:48
things but uh you know swivel seats all the standard really nice um
1:00:58
components and I made these photos so you guys get a sneak peek of the build before it's completely done we'll have a
1:01:04
nice video walk through soon but if you're interested in purchasing purchasing this van it is currently for
