Morning of July 8, police knocked the door of a house in Oktyabrsky settlement, Perm Territory. That was home for the Shikhovs: Elena, a kindergarten teacher, and Nikolai, a lecturer in oil and gas engineering for Regional Polytechnic College. The police officers asked if they knew where their daughter was. At first Elena and Nikolai, unable to grasp the matter, were stunned. The parents thought that their daughter was sleeping peacefully in her room where they had left her last night.
