Tramaine Todd Wins the U17 Boys 100m at Jamaica's Carifta Trials with an Incredible Performance!

Tramaine Todd from St. Elizabeth High School led the pack and emerged as the winner of Jamaica's Carifta Games Trials U17 Boys 100m Final held at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday, 11 March 2023, with an impressive time of 10.58 seconds despite the unfavorable wind speed of -0.5. Khamani Gordon from Calabar High School secured the second position with a timing of 10.78 seconds, closely followed by Nathaniel Martin from Jamaica College who finished third with a timing of 10.85 seconds. The U20 Boys 100m Final witnessed some exceptional performances and intense competition from the participants, making it a memorable event for everyone present at the National Stadium.

Jamaica dominated track and field at the last three Olympic Games with Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson, Omar McLeod. Bolt won 100m and 200m gold medals in Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 while Thompson won the Rio 2016 sprint double.
