Kate goes hands on with the Ninja FlexFlame Outdoor Grill, the most ambitious Ninja appliance yet that’s looking to take on the best grills from Weber and other big competitors. But it’s not just a grill, it’s also a griddle, a smoker, and a pizza oven so long as you have the right FlexFlame accessories. Kate got to check out all the FlexFlame’s key features and specs, plus put it to the test herself as part of this hands-on review.

Hey guys, you're looking at the Ninja Flexclaim Outdoor Grill, Ninja's first propane-powered
0:04
appliance and also one of the most ambitious Ninja products to ever hit the market
0:09
I got an early preview of it, how it works, I even got to grill a bit on it
0:13
I'll show you everything right here in this video. So here it is. It's a $999 three-burner propane grill with 424 square inches of cook space
0:23
That's the only configuration for now, and it takes a lot of the learnings from the rest
0:27
of the Ninja Woodfire product line by combining convection and a beginner-friendly smoke box
0:32
with the pleasure of cooking over fire. A key feature is temperature regulation when it comes
0:37
to the flames. An internal thermometer knows when the lid is open and auto-corrects the temperature
0:42
which could mean less propane use in terms of efficiency. The grill runs between 200 and 600
0:48
degrees with five cooking modes, four you set on the ignition knob, low and slow, roast and bake
0:54
two-zone indirect cooking and grill and pizza. The fifth one is the optional wood fire flavor
0:59
This means using the smoke box and wood pellets to infuse that classic barbecue smoky flavor in
1:05
your food. I absolutely love this feature on my Ninja Wood Fire outdoor oven. It's really great
1:10
for people who are intimidated by smoking. I was right there with you, but this just makes it
1:14
so approachable. So we also have this display. Note that you do need electricity to run this
1:19
girl that could be a downside depending on your setup. There's also no integrated
1:24
temperature probe for your food, though Ninja is quick to remind you that the
1:28
Ninja wireless thermometer can go up to 700 degrees, so it's totally compatible
1:32
with Flex Flame cooking Similarly there a whole lineup of accessories made for the Flex Flame including griddle toppers That huge in terms of versatility even if Weber did do it first There also a pizza stone Tried it Works pretty well If it
1:47
preheated properly, you get a pizza in about five minutes. Should mention too that there's a roasting
1:52
rack, a caddy for all of your tools. Ninja has pretty much thought of everything. But to keep
1:58
things simple, I whipped up some burgers on the Flex Flame. Classic grilling test right here. And
2:03
I was really pleased with the heat distribution. As with any grill, there is a hot spot, but overall
2:08
I got a very even cook. It meant I was able to serve up everything at once. That's something that
2:12
I'm always thinking about, convenient when it comes to hosting, and I definitely got that vibe
2:17
here. The side tables are also convenient, and I think rather spacious relative to the grill's size
2:22
overall. By the time you're seeing this video, the Flexplane is actually at my house, ready for me to
2:28
put through the paces, so make sure you're subscribed, and let me know in the comments if
2:32
you want to see a full review video. My first impression is that the footprint and ease of use
2:37
makes it a good fair-priced option for first-time grill owners or maybe just people who have limited
2:42
outdoor space since it is a lot of different outdoor appliances in one. A grill, a smoker
2:47
a pizza oven. People who love all things Ninja will also find a lot of familiar branding and user
2:52
guides so this was made to me clearly with the fans of the brand in mind. I think that just about
2:58
covers everything you need to know about the Ninja Flex Flame Grill. I'm curious to know if
3:03
it's on your radar in the lead up to peak grilling season. I'm seeing a lot of buzz about it online
3:07
so let me know what you think. That's it for me. Thanks for watching, guys. I'll catch you next time
