Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Monday it had foiled an assassination attempt on a senior Defense Ministry officer in Crimea, allegedly orchestrated by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU). According to Russian authorities, a dual Russian-Ukrainian citizen was arrested for plotting a car bombing. In a separate incident, FSB drone operators shot down a VECTOR aircraft-type UAV in the Donetsk region, which officials claimed was intended to launch attacks on civilians in Gorlovka.
