will talk about how to rename and how to delete the software distribution folders

in Windows 10. As always, we will link an article in the

description below. Now, to delete the contents of the folder,

we will need a Command Prompt with admin privileges.

But first, before making any changes to your system,

create a system restore point, in case, any changes you make has an

undesired effect. In the command prompt, type in net stop wuauserv,

then you want to type in net stop bits and hit enter.

Then, let's go into the C drive and into the software

distribution folder. What you want to do is delete

all the files and folders inside. You can select all and press delete. Now,

if you're unable to delete some of the files,

restart your computer and try again.

After you have emptied the folder, go back to the command prompt with

admin privileges and type in net start

Then, type in net start bits and hit

At this particular point, I would suggest restarting your computer.
