0:11
hello welcome or welcome back my name is
0:14
heaven I am a stay-at-home mom wife and
0:17
Homemaker and today I'm going to be
0:19
doing a day in the life Vlog today is
0:21
the first day of summer break for us
0:22
because we have officially closed out
0:24
our curriculum we did the good and the
0:27
Beautiful preschool curriculum and we
0:28
did the good and the Beautiful
0:30
kindergarten prep curriculum so we just
0:32
finished up the kindergarten prep
0:33
curriculum and it is Tuesday and it's
0:37
officially the start of our summer break
0:38
kind of because well it's like still
0:41
kind of spring weather it's not freezing
0:42
anymore so that is wonderful I talked
0:45
about how it's been so cold in my last
0:47
Vlog and it's been snowing and summer
0:49
just seemed like it was never going to
0:51
come when I think that spring is
0:53
officially here so I'm super happy about
0:55
that and I have just been spending the
0:57
past week outside and it has felt
0:59
amazing just being outside enjoying the
1:02
outdoors we put a ton of flowers in the
1:05
ground and now I'm working on getting my
1:07
garden beds built up and building a
1:10
little outdoor play my ground for Nola
1:12
some water things all of that so today
1:16
we are pretty much just doing that
1:18
spending some time outdoors I may have
1:20
to make a few store runs today I just
1:23
made breakfast for Noah and my husband
1:25
we've gotten so much debt in the past
1:28
week I can't even begin to explain and
1:31
so that's why my posting schedule was a
1:32
little off like I haven't been posting
1:34
twice or three times per week for the
1:36
past two weeks because we just been so
1:38
busy outside I'm gonna go ahead and get
1:40
back into it and just show you guys what
1:41
we have been doing let me go and Bug my
1:44
husband really quick and see if he can
1:45
help me move Noah's playground out to
1:47
its final destination so that we can
1:48
begin like building the border around it
1:51
and then see if I can get him to also
1:53
cut the wood for my garden bed so that
1:56
is what we're doing today some gardening
1:57
some playground build Noah doesn't begin
2:00
his swim lessons until next month so the
2:04
way we do things with homeschool is that
2:07
he does his you know curriculum
2:09
throughout the fall and winter but then
2:12
in like summer time we're going to try
2:15
and be intentional about enrolling him
2:17
in some sports or some programs or
2:19
activities so that he can get that
2:21
extracurricular activity inside of his
2:23
school curriculum so that he can have a
2:25
time to socialize with other kids and
2:27
things like that so we're doing swim
2:29
lessons he just turned four so like all
2:31
the sports like basketball he can't play
2:34
until he's five soccer he has to be six
2:36
baseball he has to be I believe five so
2:41
there are a lot of sports that he can't
2:42
do yet can do like tumble tots and he
2:45
can do
2:47
um
2:48
and he can definitely do the swim
2:50
lessons so swim lessons is something
2:51
that we had wanted him to do anyway so
2:53
he's going to start that next month and
2:55
then tumble tots I feel like he does
2:57
that all the time around the house just
2:59
jumping around on furniture so we
3:01
skipped out on that I didn't know what
3:03
to do today when I woke up and didn't
3:05
have any homeschool to do but I do have
3:07
some workbooks that he's going to be
3:08
working on in the time being
3:11
um throughout the summer we still have
3:12
our good and beautiful science
3:13
curriculum that is fun you can do like
3:16
one lesson per week and that'll be good
3:18
enough so I don't know we'll see so
3:20
let's just go do some stuff this is why
3:22
Noah's just working on for now this is
3:25
his handwriting book that we got from
3:28
the good and beautiful that we didn't
3:30
finish because it was I don't say just a
3:32
little too easy for him but it's
3:33
definitely like you know can be served
3:36
as the purpose of just keeping him busy
3:38
so that he's not just watching TV all
3:40
day just something extra for a little
3:42
quiet time
3:44
um and then he has this large
3:47
book that I showed you guys in one of
3:50
our homeschool updates that we got from
3:52
Amazon it was pretty inexpensive and it
3:55
just has like a ton of stuff in here you
3:58
can do like practice work so that he
4:00
doesn't forget certain Concepts so that
4:02
he doesn't get bored and spend much of
4:05
his time in front of the television this
4:06
summer so just some you know sit down
4:09
stuff that he can do stickers letters
4:13
mazes tracing all types of things
4:16
good job baby James Bailey
4:20
how much you eating
4:24
I don't know we're barely eating nothing
4:27
he says so this is the garden bed that
4:31
my husband cut the wood for me we have
4:33
three six foot long boards my husband
4:35
cut one of them in half so the ends are
4:37
three feet
4:39
long or wide and then the long ones are
4:43
six feet it was like a light natural
4:45
colored wood and Noah helped me stain it
4:48
yesterday so it just dried today and we
4:51
were trying to get it to match the color
4:52
of the playground that we just put up
4:54
very inexpensive I'll link it down below
4:57
because it was so simple to put together
4:59
and Noah has been loving it so it has
5:01
like the ladder with the rock climbing
5:03
wall slide a chalkboard two swings that
5:06
are interchangeable
5:08
and then the square at the bottom is
5:10
actually like a Sandbox but we still
5:12
have to put the tarp under the sandbox
5:14
or like like some type of liner before
5:17
we put the sand in there and then we're
5:20
gonna put like a border around it with
5:23
some rubber mulch so we still have to do
5:25
that
5:25
the back of the yard is what I am going
5:28
to try and Tackle today because it's not
5:31
too hot and I just got to dig all that
5:32
up and put some fabric down it's been
5:34
like that since I moved in next one
5:36
would make a year we did do some stuff
5:38
over there we planted new privacy trees
5:41
my little strawberry plant here there
5:44
are some baby strawberries on here this
5:47
is just the bunny plant finding
5:50
strawberry plant
5:51
it does want some sun and hasn't been a
5:54
lot but we actually ate some
5:55
strawberries off of here yesterday
5:58
so I just bought this from Walmart and
6:01
well I bought it last week I just got
6:03
here
6:04
um it's kind of small
6:06
[Music]
6:08
it's just a little sand and water toys
6:10
just something else to keep in our
6:12
business so I'm gonna go outside and put
6:15
this together maybe that'll keep them
6:16
busy while I
6:19
into the yard so that he's not watching
6:22
the Louie all day so it turns out I am
6:25
pretty bad at this forgive me guys
6:28
compare with me I did it again
6:31
um I went outside and I never came back
6:33
in it's just addictive at this point but
6:37
I have literally let the inside of my
6:40
house go into shampoos because we've
6:42
just been spending so much time Outdoors
6:45
I'm gonna show you guys around again and
6:47
let you guys know what else we've been
6:49
getting into and then today we're going
6:50
to spend some time both indoors and
6:52
Outdoors it's actually Sunday and Noah
6:55
isn't feeling the best today my
6:58
neighbor's dogs are out let me close
7:00
this door
7:01
my neighbor has like five dogs
7:03
um they're pretty loud but we have
7:06
um
7:07
Noah's not feeling good today so when we
7:10
had to skip church today like he's not
7:13
the worst but he's definitely like
7:15
coughing and sneezing and it's not like
7:17
constantly but it's enough to where it
7:20
could happen while he's in the kids
7:21
Sunday school room and I don't want him
7:23
to cough or sneeze on any like of the
7:25
kids surfaces or on any other children
7:27
like he knows how to cover his mouth but
7:29
we know that only does so much so we're
7:32
just gonna let him rest today
7:33
um get better and we are like missing
7:38
church today like literally like we miss
7:41
it but it's really important that my
7:44
baby gets his rest and he gets better
7:46
and it's also important that he doesn't
7:48
get anyone else sick in the meantime so
7:51
yeah I'm gonna be she's doing a ton of
7:53
things inside and out as always so I am
7:57
just getting some tea made for myself
8:00
today
8:03
normally I would have coffee but because
8:07
my husband haven't been feeling the best
8:11
I am just trying every day to make sure
8:16
that I keep myself healthy too so I've
8:19
been doing like Elderberry and I'm gonna
8:21
go ahead and have myself some like
8:23
ginger peach and turmeric tea this is
8:27
really really good for the immune system
8:29
as well so I'm gonna have me some of
8:32
this before like I even think of having
8:36
coffee or anything like that so I'm
8:38
using my ninja coffee pot it also just
8:42
puts out hot water so you can make tea I
8:45
love this thing so so much and so I'm
8:49
gonna have myself some tea
8:51
[Music]
8:53
there's my tea so I'm going to drink
8:55
this and try to start cleaning like the
8:57
family room in the kitchen and then I
9:00
will clean like the living room last
9:02
because in there there's like there's
9:05
this huge beanbag chair that my husband
9:06
brought from the basement
9:09
and it just to me is taking up a ton of
9:12
space in there doesn't look the best but
9:15
just put it away for now until we find
9:17
somewhere else for it so I'm gonna take
9:18
all the stuffing out of it
9:20
in the end I am gonna like just try and
9:24
put it away somewhere in the garage I
9:27
got a box or something I don't know
9:28
we're gonna see it's probably gonna be
9:30
immense the house is a mess so let's
9:33
just take care of that oh this is my
9:34
coffee mug I think I got this from
9:36
Target I like it it's very motivational
9:39
I can and I will that is the teacup that
9:44
I'll be using today so that I can have
9:47
all the motivation this is nasty more
9:50
honey
9:51
okay that's better I think I hope okay
9:54
let me just put a little sugar I try not
9:56
to put a ton of sugar in my tea but
9:59
16 ounces of hot water Ginger turmeric
10:05
it's not good oh yeah no that's good
10:07
that's better it's good enough
10:09
some of the seeds I want to get in the
10:11
ground yesterday
10:12
we'll see how they grow because I picked
10:14
these up from the dollar store I think
10:16
um so I got broccoline carrot and green
10:20
beans at butter a tomato plant two
10:24
tomato plants two green pepper plants
10:26
and I couldn't find any sweet potato
10:28
slips I do want to do like the leafy
10:30
stuff like collards and turnips spinach
10:33
kale lettuce things like that so
10:36
I'm still trying to build up the garden
10:38
again because where it used to be we dug
10:41
it all out and we're turning it into
10:43
grass and I'll explain to you guys why
10:45
on that it's a little interesting to be
10:47
honest my neighbor has been a pain in
10:49
the rear so I'm gonna do the green beans
10:52
the carrots the broccoli sugar baby
10:54
watermelon cucumber and then I'll do the
10:57
tomatoes
10:59
the strawberries and the green peppers I
11:02
think that's what's going to be in my
11:03
garden this summer but later when it's a
11:06
little bit cooler I'll get the leafy
11:08
vegetables in there too so I'm going to
11:11
start the seedlings for those let me do
11:13
stuff procrastination see this is what I
11:15
mean

[Music]
12:22

12:45
I ordered this from Amazon so I wanted
12:47
to share it with you uh I got The
12:49
Beginner's Bible Timeless children's
12:51
storybook as well as a Beginner's Bible
12:54
activity book so basically this just has
12:57
like a bunch of viable stories that are
12:58
pretty and beautiful easy for you to
13:02
follow along with your young toddler or
13:05
child it has both the Old and the New
13:07
Testament so it doesn't just pick and
13:09
pull out stories it has like all of them
13:10
in here but look how beautiful it is it
13:13
has the beginning it talks about the
13:15
creation and then it also talks about
13:17
Adam and Eve after Adam and Eve it goes
13:21
on to talk about Noah's Ark and the boat
13:24
so
13:26
a bunch of just beautiful
13:28
yeah yeah
13:31
a bunch of beautiful stories to you know
13:34
go through and then along with that is
13:37
this activity book which also follows
13:39
along with it so as you can see here it
13:42
has the creation with like a word search
13:44
puzzle a coloring activity some tracing
13:47
numbers Adam and Eve more tracing Noah's
13:52
Ark so it kind of ties into this one
13:56
oh this is your other Noah's Ark book
13:59
yeah this is cool too well now we have
14:03
more for you to do okay
14:06
um so it's just more practice for him it
14:08
has some math in here some coloring some
14:12
tracing
14:13
um it has like some things that it'll
14:15
ask you to read and do letter tracing
14:19
mazes talks about prayer
14:23
songs smallest and biggest it has Sameer
14:28
different what comes next in the pattern
14:31
listen for the letter s so some
14:35
literature and language arts counting to
14:38
10 and the groups just a ton of things
14:42
however you eat this one just as head of
14:46
things here
14:47
um that we can use to practice while
14:49
learning the Bible and continuing with
14:51
some schoolwork so that he's not only
14:54
watching television and that he's not
14:55
forgetting you know his schoolwork and
14:57
getting out of the rhythm of it so it's
15:00
not going to be like a summer intensive
15:02
like it's not going to be intense it's
15:04
not going to be until psychics
15:05
curriculum it's just going to be extra
15:07
practice for him while learning about
15:09
the Bible because we can have a lot of
15:11
this in our curriculum
15:13
[Music]
15:15
is sometimes twice this is
15:20
yeah this is the Bible so we're going to
15:23
learn more about it it wasn't in the
15:25
good and the Beautiful curriculum as
15:26
much as I wanted it to be so now we're
15:29
going to focus on that now that we're
15:30
done with our curriculum as well as some
15:32
science and some other words
15:35
so Noah is playing right now and then I
15:37
just got some rock to put down in the
15:39
back of the yard so you're gonna see no
15:42
me in the back putting down some rock
15:45
and been a little bit busy just for a
15:47
minute

[Music]
16:38
[Music]
16:48
thank you
16:54
all right so this is basically what I
16:57
was doing it's just put us a rock down
16:59
back here
17:00
so rock some hostas
17:03
and some solar lights back here in the
17:06
back so this is the
17:09
first garden bed that my husband built
17:13
and then we're gonna put one more over
17:15
there next to it I don't know 100 if I
17:18
like them back here but considering I
17:19
don't have anywhere else to put them
17:21
this is where it's going to stay so I
17:23
still have to get
17:25
um like some weed barrier for this and
17:28
then build it up with raised garden bed
17:31
soil and then I can plant in rows like
17:36
vertical rows probably I don't know yet
17:39
um like some vegetables and then a few
17:41
Marigolds in the back in between the
17:44
hostas like certain flowers that the
17:46
animals aren't a fan of so with that we
17:51
wrap up today's Vlog but we've just been
17:53
getting all the things done inside the
17:55
home and outside
17:56
and we pretty much just been beginning
18:00
our summer break and now that we
18:02
finished up our homeschool curriculum
18:03
there are still a ton more to do I'm
18:06
super excited about getting my garden
18:08
started there's just something about
18:10
gardening that is just so therapeutic
18:13
like planting your own crafts and
18:15
yielding your own crabs and just like
18:18
watching things grow it's something just
18:21
amazing especially for like moms it's
18:24
just like our little ones we plant that
18:26
sea and we watch it grow and flourish
18:29
and we tend to it and care for it it's
18:31
just one of those things that is just in
18:33
Mother Nature I'm finally happy about
18:35
the weather warming up and truly at
18:38
peace here so I thank you guys for
18:40
hanging out with me I'm gonna go get
18:42
this video edited so that I can post it
18:44
and start filming some homeschool update
18:46
for you guys as well so yeah thank you
18:48
for hanging out with me today I hope
18:50
that you enjoyed this video and if you
18:52
did of course don't forget to give it a
18:54
thumbs up and subscribe for more content
18:56
just like this that'll be all for today
18:58
thanks for watching until next time
19:01
thank you
