The singer peaked in the early 90's, taking a Dolly Parton song to the top of international charts. From here, her rise to fame was something extraordinary, and no one would've been able to predict it. Unfortunately, from this summit of attention and adoration, Houston steadily declined, as drug addiction and emotional torment eroded her skill and professional acclaim.
