American Idol was unquestionably the biggest TV talent contest of the 2000's, and while it went off the air in 2016, its influence looms large in popular talent shows like The Voice. AI's success was built on the auditions of amateur singers, some of whom were memorably terrible. However, in every city that the show stopped in to audition potential contestants, producers found at least a few diamonds in the rough. We'll cover some of these today.
