Andrew Huberman: How to Boost Endurance and Strength with Maximum Heart Rate Workouts #shorts #gym

Andrew Huberman shares the tip that Dr. Andy Galpin told him on a trick to build endurance while building strength. This entire episode on Lex Fridman is incredibly interesting if you're looking for a scientific approach to improving strength, endurance and muscle growth. Something that I have personally noticed is how good the body is adapting to changes in the environment. I have just recently embarked on the whole "Strength and endurance" journey. I've always been more about muscle growth with some strength - both usually go hand in hand (I'm not saying that building muscle = building strength, but strength will always increase as you focus on progressive overload, time under tension, etc.). First things first is how addicting it is to see progress. Being able to lift heavier, being able to run faster, and cover longer distances. Many years ago, long before this interview took place, my soccer coach used to give us very intense running drills once every 1-2 weeks (Maybe that's why I've hated running for so many years 🤷, who knows). He never explained why. I've just recently picked up on running again and no matter how much I "train" to improve my endurance - running long distances, or keeping a good pace - I'd never see much of an improvement. However, I decided to test my coach's theory out and started implementing some sprinting drills, about once a week. In a matter of a month - I've increased my speed, my endurance, and my mental resiliance whilst running. And the MOST interesting part is, I've also noticed a trickle-down effect. My resistance training improved, my strength improved, my rep-range and weight control. Everything improved. Quite interesting to see future research in the field, but crazy how heart health is often overlooked in the fitness community (or not considered important), when in reality your cardio plays a huge role in your strength development, and ultimately your muscle growth potential. #andrewhuberman #lexfridman #strength #strengthtraining #strengthworkout #workout #workoutroutine #interesting #educational #podcast #podcastclips #gymtok
