Kicked out of hotels in Germany | 2nd Lockdown

so i happened to arrive in berlin germany a day before lockdown now one of the lockdown rules is

no hotels or hostels are open to tourists. Now I am in a hostel right now well I guess I'm about

to get kicked out because I've just been given this slip to fill in to state the reason I'm in

Berlin. Well I'm not here on an internship. I'm not here house seeking. Technically I'm here

professionally because I'm working filming this video but if I were you and

I wasn't here professionally what would happen I know I'm gonna regret this but

let's find out Hello? We are not allowed to have tourists in the hostel right now

Oh, so what can I do? Well, you are not allowed to stay here

What is your room number? Is there anywhere I am allowed to stay

I am not sure if there is like another place you have to like call them or visit them

so I have to leave now yes all right so we're out on the street there's a hotel right here that I'm gonna try and

see if I can get a room can I book a room for tonight yes please I'm sorry but we don't

have any clients right now you don't have any clients we are closed oh you're closed

Alright no luck there, those ones just happen to be closed to everyone

So if I was just a tourist? not allowed unfortunately. So where would I give it to go if I was a tourist? Actually

in Berlin it not allowed to rent something right now to tourists i gonna try and thank you so much thank you

now i'm not too sure what's supposed to happen right now but to be honest neither do they

all they know is they can't accommodate you so you have to just get out and sort yourself out

company to say the reason i'm here there's another hostel right here the generator

Okay, so I'm going to be completely honest with you. I'm a tourist that's stuck in Berlin right now, in lockdown, and have nowhere to go

Are you searching for accommodation? Yeah. Hello! Hello! Alright, so I don't have a lot of options here

every hostel and hotel keeps telling me no all i have to resort to is either couch surfing which

i'm not too excited about they've let me down a lot in the past so the thought of that doesn't

excite me at all or tinder but that is like 50 50 you need need the heavens to come down and save

you with that one the other option would be either to sleep on the street that's all you're really

left with or to try and blag it and just lie and say you're here on business but you know like they

want to check where's your where's your business contract or this document from your thingy that

says you're here on business so it's getting a bit complicated and i don't know i don't know what

to do to be honest another option because this is a really nice hostel would be to like just hang

out here until evening and then maybe if you find someone and then you get talking and then you buy a few drinks and then maybe she lets you stay and then no one asking for documents or if you meant to be here but that a long shot 11 euros a night for an eight dorm room which isn

too bad to be fair compared to the other one when i booked the other one i booked it for the whole

week and then i'm sure a lot of you guys are like me when you're about to book something or buy

something online you open up another tab and then look for discount codes for it because hey who

all right so turns out there's a loophole so if your flight has been cancelled for some reason and

you can't go back home and you're actually stuck here out of your control then they will let you

stay in the hostels and hotel guys can i ask you a question so i'm a tourist in berlin yeah and

then knowing the new lockdown rules um hotels and hostels aren't allowed to have me how do you guys

feel about that where do you sleep i've got nowhere to sleep oh and airbnb maybe airbnb

yeah does it work yeah like private apartments yeah oh okay i haven't thought of that yeah no

thank you i will i will thank you so much i mean people seem really nice here they've got good

advice as well to help you out some say like just keep traveling get on the train and go to another

city that doesn't have the lockdown rule others say try airbnb because that isn't as strict

as you know a hotel or a hostel the new lockdown rule is hotels and hostels aren't accepting

tourists how do you guys feel about that because if a tourist is in berlin like i am there's almost

nothing you can do. Yeah but I mean also if you travel and you don seem like you just travel for one time you kind of have to get informed where you travel to no Fair enough That a good point I mean it a responsibility a little bit if you go somewhere

It is. It is. Fair enough. You can sleep on the train, so it's an adventure. So the advice from the locals is to just keep going

Like, it's your responsibility. You should have checked out the conditions and all that

Fair enough. I hear that. Now I am being affected by those restrictions so these are the people I should be pitching

by sales pitch for where I am going to rest my head tonight

all right so i'm at the airport i've got a flight to sweden in about two hours i was just interested

to see what would happen if a tourist was actually stuck in the city with nowhere to sleep it was fun
