Date On A Budget In Paris

chocolates in Paris and there's been a lot of viral videos made on TikTok in

this place so I felt like this might be a good spot to start the day

I'm from England so our hot chocolate has come and I must say I have a lot of

expectation for this hot chocolate. Okay so without the whipped cream it's 9 euros

with the whipped cream it's 12 euros. We've ordered for one present so it's a half in there

so we're just gonna have to like share it. I'm ready to make it a mess

Okay, so apparently you're supposed to add the whipped cream and then mix it slowly so

it gets nice and creamy and then you can have it. And this is what all the people in here came here for

Can you believe it? all right so how do you feel after that hot chocolate i mean it was good

but i feel like it was not what you were expecting it's not what i was expecting

i do have high expectations because i'm from the uk because i'm from london today's about you

we're trying to impress you yeah yeah and then at the end of the day you can give us

all right so i thought it would be a nice romantic gesture to buy a padlock

which is an iconic part of coming to france unfortunately we can't go to the ponders arts

but over here at Trocadero next to the Eiffel Tower there's a lot of padlocks so

I'm trying to bargain because we're obviously on a budget I've got five euros to spend for a padlock

and then we can lock ourselves into eternity okay so he borrowed us a sharpie pen to write our names on let me do this have you ever done this before never with anyone no how dare you oh my god

All right, so the plan was to jump on a scooter ride to our next location

And I've just come to learn that all of the scooters in Paris have been banned or now it's illegal

I did manage to find one, which is called VIA, which is mostly big in Sweden

I've gone on the app and I've managed to find one scooter in this area

We've gotten here and it turns out it's in the bush. we can't seem to find the scooter in the bush so i'm guessing it's an app glitch so via if you guys

can sort this out because you're giving us false hope i was getting excited thinking i was going to

go on a scooter ride this is all i get look so to get to our next location we're either gonna have

to walk or take the bus but the next location is actually pretty exciting

All right, so we're here. For our next activity, I thought we could take part in a beginner salsa and bachata class

How do you feel about salsa? I'm excited. Yeah. Okay, so we've been kicked out of the Bistro 27

The lady said, no, it's only on Mondays and Thursdays, which is a bit annoying because

I booked an event bright ticket that said I'm supposed to be here today at 4 p.m

She said, no, I have no clue what you're talking about. Don't show me any tickets

I'm not interested. It's not today. So unfortunately we can dance Were you looking forward to dancing yeah i was looking forward i wanted to like flex my moves a bit but like unfortunately we can do that so we need to

find some so i'm going to find something else that's fun for us to do in the meantime are you

feeling peckish? what is peckish? you know what like I'm not sure where the word is derived from

but I think it means hungry but I think peckish is like when a bird like pecks at something so

all right so we're gonna find something to eat and then we'll do something fun later Okay

Okay, so we have arrived at our restaurants bistro 65 what do you think of it

We finally gonna eat I feel like I've been starving you this whole day

Okay, shall we? Okay, so now I booked this on the fork app and this is where you can get discounts up to 50

So you find some restaurants with 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% like this one we're in

And I guess it's a good way to impress your dates. Taking her to a fairly fancy place and you only pay half the price

So win-win. Okay, so we've gone for 12 oysters. We've asked for some bread to go with it

And we've ordered desserts, which is creme brulee that we're going to be sharing

Yeah, that's what we're having for lunch. He's asked if he wants drinks

and we've kindly asking for water. Okay the oysters are here. I've never tried oysters before so

Aisha is gonna show me how it goes. Okay okay first thing first you need to like take your work and like

do this so that it gets really easy it's not bad

aisha just reminded me that oyster is an aphrodisiac yeah what what is an aphrodisiac

I don't know like I've heard of it before. You know my abhorredizi? Like I've heard of that but I don't actually know what abhorrediziak is

Aisha was just making a joke about me renting the whole restaurant just for her. I said well of course this is how I roll you know

That's a big gesture. Yeah you know how we do it. Hey that's not right

I mean, listen, are you full? I think I should be full after this

It's cream cheese. It's hot. How does this taste? How does this taste for you

It's really nice. I mean, it's one of my favorite desserts. Alright so our platter of oysters were 24 euros And our dessert creme brulee was 13 euros coming up to 37 euros 50 of that is 18

euros 50 so not bad at all okay so Aisha has found an English stand-up open mic today actually

starting right now so we're gonna head over there why not we've just had dinner we're off to a comedy

show to be honest with everything that's been cancelled like our salsa class and like me trying

to buy a rose because a lot more got cancelled that i was planning for this day it's actually

turning out to be a pretty decent day we'll see how the comedy club goes and i'll try and get

myself and aisha to sit all the way at the front so we can get picked on that's the whole point

Listen if you go to a comedy club and you don't see other front like why you even there like you want them to pick on you

you want them to like Yeah, and I'm gonna like even like throw in some random comments

So they can direct all their attention at us Okay, so we're going to the comedy club

And apparently you need to grab a drink Of course, it's a free comedy show

And they need to make some money So we can't understand that We're going to find the cheapest drink

We can buy And we're going to head down and enjoy the show How did you feel about that

I loved it. Yeah. Honestly. Not all of them were like, good. No. Obviously

Some of them were more funny than you. Yeah. No, it was a really good show. I enjoyed it

But overall I enjoyed it, didn't you? Yeah, definitely. Same here. Okay, so I have one last surprise in store for us

We might be able to walk there. Or maybe not. How far are you

And for the final touch of the day, I thought a photo booth might be great to capture the memory of this day

And I'd like to admit, let's forget about tomorrow, yeah. Should I hide away forever
