Summer Of Seltzer Fest Hits Okaloosa Island FL For The First Time

Welcome back, first-timers

We're back here in Okaloosa Island in Fort Wallen Beach, Florida, for an awesome inaugural event

We're at the Island Resort, and they're having their Summer of Seltzer Festival

And it's exactly what it sounds like. An entire festival dedicated to seltzers

Over 150 different seltzers to try, and you can try as many as you like

Let's get through this crowd and start testing out some samples. Welcome to my party

We're just getting started. A life is a dream or a nightmare

They have five different categories of seltzers here

You've got your T's. You've got your OG's like Truly. You have sours, you have cocktails in a can, and you have soda base

This event is being held at the Island Resort right in Okaloosa Island

And it's an amazing resort. We've never stayed here, and we definitely want to

But it's kind of like a Disneyland for adults, really. You come here, you can park your car, you never have to leave

They got restaurants, they got bars, they got entertainment, they got water access

They got a swim up grotto, and it's the only swim up grotto in all of the Emerald Coast

Now, they even have rooms that you can walk right out to the water. And then they have other rooms that you can walk right out to the pool

They have a B-side bar. They have a lot of hangout and lounge space

What really sets this place apart is that it's all-encompassing and it's self-contained

Even though I said it's an adult Disneyland, really, entire families, kids of all ages can come here and have a great time

The Special Forces Association Chapter 7 is a 501C19. We operate on three main fillers

We try to make sure we take care of family, we preserve heritage, and we work with the community to make sure our military families are one with the communities that they live in

As a fraternal organization, we're made up of all veterans and some active duty members of the 7 Special Forces Group

and we raise money that helps take care of the families, help put together events with the community

and events for the organization. A big thing we also do is help memorialize our fallen

both from the global war on terror and then the years prior to that. We help build memorials

and we help hold memorial ceremonies at base and in the community. We really appreciate it

This is Palm Folly Hard Seltzer. We're a local hard seltzer craft brewery located in Santa Rosa Beach

And we have about 10 different seltzers in-house that we brew using only real fruit purees and no preservatives

Come taste them. All right, I'm going to check out this Palm Folly Seltzer

It's very light, refreshing, crisp. I'm not sure what flavor it is. She didn't tell me, but it's really good. We'll have to go check them out

It's really good. Not too sweet, but it reminds me of candy. This one might be the most popular wine

I'm liking that one. I like that spot. It's Lone River Ranch Water

I got the spicy one. It's a tequila-based seltzer. It's really good

It's got a lime flavor and just a little bit of heat. It's really good. Checking out two more that we've never seen

We got a spiked Happy Thursday and then something called Saint Spirit

I can't read. Let's try the Happy Thursday. Lightly carbonated, nice flavor

It's mellow, not too sweet, and it's refreshing enough. Would like it if it just kicked up a little bit more bubbles, but we'll take it

Bubble free. Oh. Oh, it's bubble-free. Well, that explains it. It's completely bubble-free

I think I would like one with just a little more bubble. So let's try this one, see if it hits the mark

Now we've got the bubbly ones. It's the spirits in a can. That's more my speed

My name's Tyler Marshall. I'm with Birdie Cocktails. Lance Stokes, one of the owners as well. So we are ready to drink can and cocktail

We use real vodka. It's a mugwort sweetener. Locally based in Santa Rosa Beach

It's 88 calories per can. 5.9% alcohol. That's your guys. That's a little less

He said it all So yeah we local We make it It all natural organic It one of the more healthy options uh in the ready to drink space you know and so we been live now for about 60 days uh you can find us in santa rosa beach moving out here to fort walton you find us all over the

panhandle soon so we're excited find us at birdie cocktails on social media we're found in fondle

market buddy seafood modica market you can find us all the bars in 30a and again we'll be expanding

out here to fort walton we'll go to panama city beach we're you know again brand new but we're

expanding. So we found one that is bubbly, low calorie, made with real vodka and local. It's

pretty much all the things we were looking for. So let's try this birdie. It tastes just like a

vodka soda. It does. It's a great flavor, clean, five ingredients, not sponsored, but this is

actually probably my favorite so far today. And it's got monk fruit sweetness, so healthy

What do you recommend? I got the Vodka Crush from Dogfish Head

They said it tastes like a little bit of everything. I'll be the judge of that. Orange, a little lime, a little lemon

Very crisp, tasty, and bubbly. Hey, I'm Rocky with Waterbird Spirits. We're based out of Charlottesville, Virginia

And today we are sampling our three vodka variety packs. We have a vodka citrus squeeze and a transfusion, which is the unofficial drink of golf

It's vodka, ginger ale, and grape juice. And we have a vodka cranberry. They're all made with potato vodka and they're gluten-free

I'm going to try the water bread cranberry vodka. Really good cranberry flavor, not too bubbly

Terry approved. Man, that Paloma is smoky, it's delicious, it's not too sweet, a nice bubble level

It's refreshing. If you like Palomas, that's definitely the one you've got to try. There were over 150 different seltzers to try today, and we probably only hit about 10% or even less than that

We did our best, guys. Well, we tried to focus on the local ones and ones that we haven't ever tried before

and I think we may have found a couple new favorites. Definitely. Now, this is only the first year this event happened, and I really hope it comes back next year

because there was a great turnout, great energy, and a lot of really good options to try
