Kung Fu Pet sent me this cat water fountain
0:02
so I just want to do a quick unboxing, go ahead and assemble it and test it out to see if my cat tiger likes it
0:07
So starting from the top here, we're going to get this instruction manual. We're also going to get a USB-C cable
0:14
and I really like this one just because it's going to be braided, so it's going to be much higher quality
0:20
And then right here, it's going to be the fountain itself, and there's nothing else in the box
0:24
So here's a closer look at the fountain, and it is going to be made up of a few parts
0:28
So starting at the bottom, we are going to have this stand, which is removable
0:32
We just have to go ahead and rotate it clockwise. And it comes right off, just revealing this part here
0:38
And you don't have to use this. You can leave it like this. But of course, it's a lot better to go ahead and use the base
0:43
And then I can lock it back into place. Now taking a look at the front, we are going to go ahead and have the logo Kung Fu Pet
0:49
There's going to be nothing on the sides. But on the back, we are going to have this protruding part, which is actually going to be the main part
0:56
This is going to be the power supply. This is gonna be how we turn it on and most importantly it does go ahead and come right off which is pretty cool
1:02
Now taking a look at the top. We're gonna have this cover in plastic
1:08
And it actually gonna be made up of plastic So right here we gonna have a few holes where it gonna go ahead and drain from and this part is so it gives it space to attach over here Now taking a look at the fountain itself we are going to have this lid and once we go ahead
1:21
and open it up there's going to be a filter here and this is where all the water is going to go
1:25
ahead and drain just because this is going to be at a lower level and there's going to be a hole
1:30
right here so the water can go ahead and just go back inside the body and keep circulating. Now
1:35
taking a look at the power supply itself. This thing is really cool. I've tried a bunch of
1:40
different water fountains out and this is by far the coolest looking one. I've never had a piece
1:44
that goes ahead and just comes off and really easy to install because the motor, everything's here
1:49
All I have to do is just put it in and turn it on. So of course, right here, this is going to be the
1:53
nozzle right at the bottom. This is where it's going to go ahead and suction the water up. And
1:57
there actually is going to be this little piece here and here's what it goes and looks like. And
2:01
then right there, you could see that leads to the tube. Now there's going to be nothing on the sides
2:05
But at the bottom right here, this is where we're gonna have the charging port So there's gonna be like this little tab that you can go ahead and lift it up from and right there is gonna be for the
2:12
USB-C to go ahead and charge it There's gonna be nothing at the top and then right here we're gonna have a few things
2:19
One is gonna be the sensor So once my cat gets close It gonna go ahead and turn on motion activated so water can start draining from this hole over here And of course the most important part to actually make it work is the button to turn it on So once I go ahead and hold it
2:34
it'll go ahead and turn green, just like so. That means it's working or it's trying to work
2:39
but nothing's being suctioned up. So it turns yellow. And if I go ahead and hold it again
2:45
it's going to go ahead and turn red and turn off just like so. So I went ahead and washed the
2:49
fountain and now I'm ready to put some water inside and of course the most important part
2:53
is to make sure power supply is taken off just because right here there's going to be an opening
2:58
where we can go ahead and pour water down here but if we don't want to go ahead and do that which
3:02
I don't because it might be a little too small I can just go ahead and remove both parts just like
3:07
so and just fill it with water and here's the space now this is going to hold up to two and a
3:15
liters but for now I'll just use a cup of water just to go ahead and test it out
3:22
And now with that cup let me see if this reaches the bottom and it does reach the bottom so here
3:28
we can see even with about eight ounces of water left it still is enough for it to go ahead and suction it So now I can put both parts back just like so And now it ready to be turned on So I found a spot for the water fountain over here right next
3:43
to my water tower. So now I just want to go ahead and turn it on and see how well this works
3:48
So if I just go ahead and hold the button, it should go ahead and turn green. Yep
3:52
it's green and there's just water pouring right out. And of course it's going to go down these
3:59
holes here it's going to go down to the bottom section and go ahead and just drain down the
4:03
filter and if I move out of the way let's see how long it takes for this to go ahead and stop
4:08
pouring water all right so it's probably been like 15 seconds or so and now if I go ahead and
4:15
just move closer it automatically go ahead and starts pouring out again so overall I'm a fan of
4:19
the water fountain it's not too loud and I'm pretty sure Tiger's going to go ahead and like this and one thing to note is that the sensor is pretty sensitive so even if I'm like five feet away
4:28
It still is gonna go ahead and activate so like right here. I have this opening here
4:32
So once I go ahead and step here, it turns green and it goes ahead and turns on
4:36
So if you don't want to go ahead and constantly turn on make sure it's in a path that you don't always go ahead and walk through
4:42
Unless it's you know your cat or your dog that you want to walk through there But yeah, that's a quick look at the kung fu pet water fountain
