So I just got this VicTIC 74 inch tripod
0:03
I just want to compare it to my old one. Now the reason I got this one was for a few reasons
0:07
First reason is because I just wanted an upgrade. This one was really old
0:12
It's over 10 years old. It was my first tripod I had as a little kid. And it's time to get a new one
0:17
This one was also broken as you see here for the legs. So again, I needed a new one
0:22
Something a little bit more durable and secure so my camera doesn't accidentally fall off of here
0:26
And also lastly, I wanted the form factor to be smaller. just so this can be a lot more compact and travel friendly
0:33
Also gives me more levels to go ahead and adjust, because whereas this was the minimum height
0:39
and for this new tripod, it's over here, so it's a little bit less. And this has four different levels
0:45
whereas this one only had these two over here. Now, as far as weight goes, let me see
0:53
Yeah, I mean, this one's definitely heavier. It is bigger. But height-wise, this one is going to be 74 inches
0:59
This one is going to be I believe 72 which I'll test out in a little bit
1:04
Now as far as the top plate goes This one has like a little bit more grip on it
1:08
So I don't feel like my camera will go ahead and move Whereas this one was pretty flat
1:12
All it had were these X marks over here So I do like the fact that this one has the grip
1:17
The leveler, my old one was right on the side here And then for this one, yeah there's nothing on the side that I see here
1:24
I guess it would just be this part over here But this old tripod also had it here
1:30
So it's only missing the one for here So here's what both tripods look like extended out
1:36
And turns out I was wrong about my old one This one appears to be about an inch higher So this one probably 75 inches This one 74 Which is fine just because I never go this high anyway but here you can see how all the feet are there and of
1:50
course at the bottom this one's going to be a lot thinner than this one just because this has four
1:55
different levels whereas this one only has these two over here now as far as sturdiness goes yeah
2:01
I can see it jiggle a little bit over here but I do have to go ahead and tighten this there now
2:07
feels tighter and let me see if it moves not very slightly but it definitely feels more secure after
2:14
I tighten this one now let me test it out with this one and the way I would do that would just
2:19
be from here yeah this one yeah about the same as the other one as well too now they both do
2:27
have this part over here just add some extra weight just to prevent the tripod from really
2:31
falling over anything like that and one thing I will say that was a little bit different about
2:35
this one, spirit of my old Polaroid, was opening these caps was really hard. Like, I had to use a
2:41
good amount of force to do it, but that could just be because these are new. And whereas these ones
2:46
are a lot easier. So after loosening this up a bit, I can just go ahead. Yeah, kind of difficult
2:54
to do because it jiggles around. Now with this one, I could loosen this up here. And then just
3:03
like so and then same thing this one does go ahead and jiggle um so yeah need some extra weight added
3:08
at the bottom over here so yeah overall i'm impressed with this vigtech tripod i love the
3:13
small form factor and of course it does come with this carrying pouch that i could just put in here
3:17
and yeah i'm excited to start using this one as my main tripod instead of this old polaroid and
3:22
yeah that's a quick look at the vigtech 74 inch tripod
