Hey, Chris here and this is my decibel reader and disclaimer, I was sent for this for my review
0:05
but I'll go ahead and give an honest review and first impressions of it. And so just taking it
0:09
out the box, this is what I see here and I do like the fact that it does come in a nice carrying
0:14
pouch and there also is quick instruction manual here. I'm going to go ahead and show the uses of
0:23
it and the functions of each button here. And then right here is the decibel reader itself
0:30
and it also does come with a 9 volt battery inside that cell phone wrap and here it is
0:38
This feels pretty sturdy and it also does have a mount for a tripod. As far as the range goes
0:45
it does go from 30 to 150 decibels and it does have an accuracy of plus or minus 1.5 decibels
0:53
So this can be good whether you want to go ahead and test out, you know, how loud your neighborhood is or how loud a work area may be
1:00
Or just if you're curious to see how, you know, how loud your place might be, which I'm going to go ahead and check shortly
1:06
Battery nicely in here. And then just cover it up. Now over here, this does have a little pop filter too
1:16
Right there. And then I can just remove this little plastic wrap here
1:20
So I got a chance to get familiar with the settings and now I know a little bit more on how to go ahead and work this
1:25
So for starters, this right here is going to go ahead and be the on-off button when I hold it
1:29
I'll turn on or off. And this button all the way at the bottom here that going to go ahead and be for the light So when I hold it it go ahead and shine and it can finally be seen a little bit more
1:42
And then another option is there's a light in the back too. So when I press this button, it'll go ahead and light up
1:48
And then press it again, it'll turn off. Now there's different settings through cycle through
1:53
So there can be a fast or slow setting, a min or maximum
1:58
So right now there's not really anything set to it. So let me go ahead and go for fast
2:03
So right now it's on its basic setting I would consider it. So this is constantly going to go
2:08
ahead and be moving fast. So I know what the reading is going to be at any current time
2:14
But if I want to go ahead and be able to see it a little bit more, I can go ahead and press this button right here and it'll go ahead and show up here and it'll say slow. So this means it'll
2:22
slowly begin to change as the decibel reading changes. But what about if we want the minimum
2:29
or maximum in the room? Well, in that case, we can go ahead and press this button here
2:34
Right there, this is going to go ahead and be for the maximum slowly. So this is the
2:39
loudest decibel reading this room has gotten, 69.1. Ah, now 75.9. And I can also go ahead
2:49
make it fast. So that as it changes, it'll go ahead and change too. And then if I want the
2:53
minimum, I can go ahead and press it again. And now it'll constantly be changing depending on how
2:58
quiet the room is going to get. So once I stop talking, this should go to roughly 30 decibels
3:03
which is what this room averages. 29 decibels would be the quietest that this reading has
3:10
gotten. But anyway, that's a quick overview of the decibel reader
