Lakeshore Flood Warning: In effect from 10:00 PM EST Sunday, December 29, to 1:00 PM EST Monday, December 30. Significant lakeshore flooding is expected along the Lake Erie shore, including areas such as Route 5 in Hamburg, Buffalo Harbor, Canalside, and Dunkirk Harbor. Very high wave action will also result in significant shoreline erosion. Residents are advised to stay off breakwaters, piers, rock outcroppings, and beaches. WGRZ High Wind Warning: In effect from 10:00 PM EST Sunday, December 29, to 4:00 PM EST Monday, December 30. Southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected, particularly near the Lake Erie shoreline and across higher terrain. Strong winds may blow down trees and power lines, leading to scattered power outages. Travel, especially for high-profile vehicles, may be difficult.
