2:38
I'm back here I can't even talk cuz you know if you say something stupid I'm gonna pick up on it last night all the
2:44

3:14
George you've been performing for how many decades 48 48 years 48 years man come on 48 years now
3:21
some I'm going to tell you something y'all don't know first of all thank you for playing that car wash when I came in here cuz most of the kids know me as Mr
3:28
Wash from the second movie though from the second movie dog Dr Dr yeah did you hang out with him yes he
3:35
was a great kid at the time he was awesome and it was just great to hang out with him because I don't know anybody you know I know that's the first
3:42
time I got high I know that I went near Snoop but but I Got High s got Snoop was
3:47
around the corner you can smell that stuff around the corner just like it was really good doing this movie with all of these comedians so what I want to do now
3:54
uh Bill Duke is still alive okay Antonio vus is still alive I want to write a new movie a new watch Wash movie and I want
4:01
to have us from the wash then I want the new kids like DC Young Fly ands put them
4:06
in there so it'll be like three generations of comedians doing another car wash beautiful wow that's amazing
4:11
and this new TV show coming up I own a car wash and this new TV show I don't know whe I got to see a clip of Clean Slate but um I own Le Cox you want to
4:20
know you want to hear where the story started please I wanted to reboot Sanford and Son now basically what did I
4:26
want to hear the
4:32
that did he really you know what you know everything don't you no I don't yes you do but in she knows she hey George
4:39
she act like she does what she does that's cool you should know everything you sitting with him between the two of
4:45
you between the three of us we do between the four of us we know everything see you're young let me
4:50
finish telling the story y'all okay hey hey s before I forget
4:57
it cuz I didn't take my medicine my pre this morning listen I wanted to reboot s and son and I went to the late great
5:03
Norman Le and say I want to reboot s and son he said that's the only one we haven't rebooted because that's great that's an iconic show yeah he says we
5:10
can't do that unless you come back with a Twist so I went and I was talking to a friend of mine we were sitting there guy
5:15
to help me write my book Dan and we were talking about at the time oranges and new black was the hot shell okay I knew
5:20
nothing about Li burn because I just knew everybody was talking about her she's em nominated I say then a thought went off in my head what if I had a
5:28
son that went in New York City like all of us come up here we leave home and come to New York City try to do our
5:33
thing be what we want to do and then we think we know everything so what happened my son did come to New York City to do his thing 23 years later I
5:40
get an email says Dad I'm coming home tomorrow ding dong the doorbell rings and I said I tell the whole commun my
5:46
son is coming home ding dong I open the door tomorrow most beautiful lady you've ever seen in your life and I said I
5:52
don't know whether you sell an avine cuz I'm not ready to return of Jehovah none of that stuff like that get the hell out
5:58
of here and she said Dad dad is me silence for the next 20 minutes my
6:05
son is now my daughter I don't accept it I'm crazy but I got to learn I got to be
6:11
educated to let people live and be who they want to be my next door neighbors tell my hop tell
6:16
my Hopkins that's right tell my Hopkins from you know her yeah of course and she teaches me that you know what that's
6:22
your son you got to love your son no matter what and that's that's your child child you got to love your child no
6:27
matter what and I'm into this stuff I love everybody I don't care who you are or where you come from I just love
6:34
people that's my that's my goal in wanting to love everybody so I want to uh be educated and learn how to live Let
6:40
Live Love Let Live and that's what this show is all about I love that come on it's all into the community a lot of
6:46
kids leave home for different reasons drug abuse child abuse men she left home because she wanted to be who she wanted
6:52
to be now I need to know and I'm glad I need to know that I can be educated that hey if somebody else is happy I should
6:58
be happy too M and that's what it's all about it's all about love love and happiness love man George Wallace is
7:05
here I love that I like that concept so much and we're talking about clean slate and it's so timely right now when you
7:10
see what's happening in the political sphere but of course right and you you know what's going on in and that that
7:16
was the subject in the grammar talking about trans people now I'm old okay I rode the back of the bus
7:22
as a black guy I know what discrimin discrimination is I don't like discriminatory practices against anybody
7:29
you say anyone anyone just Live and Let Live Love and live let love so I'm going to learn a lot of things about uh my
7:37
daughter's life and she's going to learn a lot about me cuz I'm just like Fred sample I'm old and I'm stupid and I I
7:43
want to take my hat off but they say I look like Lun Nail's mama when I take my hat off not L Nail's
7:49
mama I want but this series is going to drop on
7:54
Thursday stop that's my S now lunell is one of my best friends I
7:59
know y'all peoples yes and I want to do a show with her I actually wanted her to be my first Aunt Esther but tell Harris
8:07
is my aunt we fight all the time what do you see us fight yeah shut up you shut up you don't tell me what to do and I
8:13
want you to see you got to see all eight episodes beauti and it's going to blow your mind what happens at the endle Love
8:20
This Clean Slate man give us a round of applause Sun comes home uh and now he's
8:26
trans right and or she's trans she's trans
8:32
only and I'm willing to learn M oh say that again I'm willing to learn that is the key right there you what I'm willing
8:39
to learn and that's what I'm going through every time I say something wrong I got to put some money in the jar yeah
8:44
and that's you know every time I make a mistake I think it's called the trans jar and dollar dollar $5 and but I'm
8:52
learning you're learning lne has been on our show before salute to L Cox um
8:58
offset what did you learn about leverne Cox how what was your conversations like what' you say what was your conversation
9:05
off screen yeah just she's a professional she's she's I just treat her as L yeah and we learned a lot just
9:13
by I'm going to be your friend no matter what I think I'm kind of a little one thing about me I just I'm going to be
9:18
your friend right up front see this guy operating the board the ugly one I'm talking about the ugly one uh what the
9:24
hell you turn around for you know what I I I don't know him but I but I just became his friend just like that
9:30
and the guy that came out to get me what's that little punk ass boy
9:36
name Lonnie's no punk man he a young king we became friends right after B that's the kind of guy I am I just love
9:43
people yeah and I and I thank God every day for I wanted to be a comedian since I was 6 years old and like I said I'm doing it for 48 years wow and I thank
9:49
God every day sometimes I choke up and thank God because all I do is laugh I just love the makeup you know you know
9:56
what I want to ask you because you being in being in Atlanta right um during the
10:02
9s was a real you know outcoming for hip-hop the hip-hop scene Outcast and
10:07
all these different uh uh you know U Goodie Mob all these different great groups were coming out of outcast I mean
10:14
coming out of Atlanta at that time where were you at that time what did you see how did you like that what did you see
10:20
in that time period who did you connect with let me answer this question first of all I was in New York City in the 70s
10:26
and the 80s so I'm not a crazy ass disco person we come out of the disc Studio 54
10:31
and all that stuff like that another real let's let talk about music I hope uh did it get 40 years I hope P did get
10:38
50 years I hope uh Sean okay keep going keep going what
10:43
else you know about mus because all all these entertainers he never invited me to one of them damn parties he need to lock his ass up forever he said did said
10:52
lock his ass up forever you know I would have gone to one of those parties George we were talking about Atlanta Hip Hop scene George
11:00
I got my own baby that just came up TC you know but I was telling you but I was I'm from the Disco era so when all of
11:05
that started in the 90s okay I was doing oural Hall I'm one of the comedians that started working I'm one of the the black
11:12
comedians that start working and worked I did this Tonight Show on a Thursday and I worked forever next night I was in front of 17,000 people with Natalie Cole
11:19
so I've probably worked more than anybody else as far as at the time and we only had three station NBC ABC and
11:26
CBS and then they had uh so when I worked I had to work clean mhm and uh at
11:31
that time so in the '90s when the Hip Hop was coming out yeah I hadn't gotten into it yet okay I I missed a lot but I
11:38
love these kids now I love them all you know from fetty [ __ ] to I'm going to go see fedy [ __ ] is he in jail now yeah were
11:45
you going to jail I my friend okay that was beautiful that's when I start cussing I met uh uh WKA Flocka Flame so
11:53
I use him for cussing Waka Flocka so you say his name I don't use the whole name I just said WKA Flocka like I was at
11:59
church Sunday my Bishop walked up in the pull pit I said look at this walk fler
12:04
look at this look at this walk flocker so that's that's my cuss word oh got it
12:09
that's your c word and all you Walker fluers listening listening right now we want to thank you so much and we
12:14
appreciate you more than you know and I'm Dr George Wallace and I love you and there's absolutely nothing you can do
12:20
how you know my phrase yeah man come on George talking about man we know your phrase you're George Wallace hey can I
12:27
ask you about this too I was watching Areno some old clips of Areno and I I'm
12:33
just convinced he's the greatest nighttime personality had the greatest nighttime show ever did you young people
12:39
hear what he just said now you know I did tonight's show I did M Griffin all those shows I did Areno more than any
12:45
other comedian wow and I'm the one that created all of those uh the athletic jackets I'm going to bring it back too
12:50
I'm the first one to take those jackets too oh my God I just got a jacket of Muhammad Ali I was in uh oh wow you
12:57
would freak out this is a jack Muhammad Ali jacket inside and outside but um
13:02
it's just a great jacket it just took me away on your thoughts but yeah AR Senor Hall as far as I'm concerned yeah he
13:08
helped me more than anything else S Hall and I and Will Smith started your mama
13:13
jokes okay that's what we start talking about your mama and one day uh I was talking about Will Smith mama and they
13:18
said uh she was in the audience and I went and and that's when and the other
13:25
kids wrote the your mama books but they called me the king of the Y mama jokes back in the day uhhuh so I did that and I came to New York City and did radio I
13:31
was doing radio when I met you I was doing KISS FM you were doing KISS FM so yall and we were doing Hot 97 at there
13:42
you yeah so so I'm a radio person you know I love what y'all doing right now come on I know got the great one day you
13:48
out you don't want to come in either you I'm going to come and sit in for you okay well that happens a lot with me so
13:54
you you going to be working right you come in you can do it for me yeah but this is a great job you have and I I
14:00
think people I teach young kids make sure you enjoy your life because it's so important you know just because I got a
14:06
degree in marketing and advertising and it doesn't matter you don't have to do statistical analysis the rest of your
14:12
life you might enjoy arranging flowers or painting cards the money will come and you sit here every morning and you
14:17
bring joy to people that are listening every afternoon whatever we have the greatest job in the world there you go
14:23
George Wallace is here man uh I be I love that you mentioned DC Young Fly to
14:29
you know there a lot of amazing young comedians out there he is one of the greatest I did 85 South with him yeah 85
14:36
South very incredible so I'm getting with the young people now and that's they called me Uncle G you know so and
14:41
now it's happening and with this TV show I'm just so blessed to have fun and uh working with the young Comedians and
14:48
some of the older guys don't like the young comedians because they went social media and they became famous and you ever here some of these older guys that
14:53
they didn't put the time in but they got more seat more people in the seats than you do that's enough so as long as they
14:59
have yeah as long as they're having fun and doing their job and and and making a name for themselves do it let me ask you
15:05
this you brought up sford and son I'm trying to get you ask you as much as I can while I have you you actually did
15:11
you write on the red fox show he's doing some history here yeah no I didn't write on the red fox show but when he left s
15:17
son I wrote I did write the red fox show called uh was a variety show remember the variety show yes yeah when he left
15:24
uh um NBC and went to ABC yeah I did right that for a year and then it lasted
15:30
for a year and but it was really cool and I always wanted to be like red fox and uh Sammy Davis Jr and uh and Lena
15:38
horn when I left KISS FM I went to Las Vegas for 30 days and that turned in 6 days 90 days and then turned into 15
15:45
years so I spent the last 15 years and I'm the only black person that I don't I
15:50
didn't work for the hotels I own the show and that's that's a real residency when you hear people what do you mean by
15:57
that you own the show that means owned the room I did the marketing I did advertising I had 26 people working for
16:02
me I did all of the hand shaking going to the hotels you just can't have a name when you go to Las Vegas anymore you got
16:07
to be in the know you got to know people that buy tickets like uh time share people they buy these tickets I had 750
16:13
seats to fill every night you know and so I had to did all of this Marketing in my head and I just love doing that and
16:19
owning the show because we don't get to do that business-wise yeah and so that means I was in charge of everything but
16:25
red red fox was a really adamant businessman as well right he was but he lost a lot of stuff and I I want to die
16:32
like red fox and Samy Davis Jr too they died broke H yeah and I figur if you die owing the government $800 $900,000 yeah
16:40
you did something wrong okay all right you did pretty good you ow that much money so wow this is great George
16:46
Wallace is here man I I while I got you and people say the government came and took everything hell they dead they
16:52
don't know hell take all my [ __ ] what I'm there excuse my language what kind of show is this this is whatever you
16:58
want thank you walk flocker why you didn't tell me that when I W up in here you
17:04
walk what's that guy doing over there just looking at laugh Tyler that's what that's his job how you do nothing just
17:10
laugh make sure the the guest feel
17:15
funny I heard that I heard that let me ask you this man because why it ain't
17:22
too many people I got asked about Richard prior being on stage with a Rodney Dangerfield it ain't too many Robin Williams it's not too many people
17:29
I could talk about these people to my God I can't believe yes can you tell me about just even what it was like behind
17:37
stage when you would do stand up with these guys any any story stick first of all Robin Williams I born on July 21st
17:43
same day yeah let me give you some more you got to look it up you got to look more people entertainers and celebrities
17:49
are born on July 21 than any other day of the year look check that out czy it's
17:55
hard to find but it's in the book I read that look that up he can't even read you know
18:02
what yo damn hang on hang it's Dr
18:07
Wallace by the way Dr Wallace get straight yeah yeah don't you feel better since I'm sitting here talking to you I do okay Dr W Richard PR Robin Williams
18:15
was a great guy and back in the day you know how hot he was and being a comedian
18:21
we had to follow Robin Williams or Richard PRI back in the day so that's how we learned and had to go on stage
18:27
and and and mil bur a whole lot of people back in the day red fox we were
18:32
really tough comedians because they were hard to they were the ACT yeah Robin
18:37
Williams and and and and Richard Pryor now the last thing I remember about Richard Pryor when he did live at on
18:43
Sunset uh he went to do new material and all the comedians would standing in the back of the communy store and we go like
18:50
it ain't working this week this time it ain't working uhhuh that's a whole week second week man this is terrible this is
18:57
terrible third week at least is not as bad as it was the first two weeks the fourth week we going well it's getting
19:03
better 5 6 7 8 nine weeks live on Sunset put it together went crazy and just it
19:10
was a history a blessing to make see that come to fruition yes from nothing to a major you s the work right and we
19:18
don't mind working sometimes I still do six seven shows a night m in New York
19:24
City running the clubs from Gotham to the cell my goal is to do 10 shows a night here in New York York City what
19:30
what time does the night end well night the night ends around 2:00 now it used to end at 4: in the morning but I going
19:37
to do like the seller downtown they have four rooms so if you do two shows at each room that's eight shows and then I
19:43
can do the comic strip I can do Gotham and just and it's really good to be able to that's why if you come to New York
19:49
you can work you can work no other city like New York City just great to come in the clubs are there and it's just joyous
19:55
to take my legal yellow pad I have never been without my yellow pad this morning y'all I keep my new jokes on my yellow
20:01
pad and try out new material so I'm the one that started this in 1993 to go out with my pad okay and I said I'm going to
20:08
do some new jokes they might be funny they might not then I would do a joke and I said that's right Deon Cole does
20:13
that now at least you know at least somebody called me one day I did George Lopez and
20:19
said you stole that from Dion Cole yeah I said check your history check all of the the photos in Los Angeles and you
20:26
see George Wallace start and I did to you know joke number one work real good joke number two work real good joke
20:32
number three needs work joke number four joke's funny audience sucks that's when they go crazy that's when they go crazy
20:40
and I would do that and then next thing he said go back I would try to go to regular material go back and do the new jokes they love that and I enjoy doing
20:48
that today George Wallace is here Dr George Wallace is here oh hell I forgot
20:53
myself he was like where Uncle um Jerry spring
20:58
Jerry Seinfield I was going to say Springfield I'm thinking Jerry Seinfield and you um had a um you guys have a
21:05
relationship I had a relationship at one point correct at one point yes we started the same day same time catch a
21:12
rising star wow yeah I'm actually the real George George oh that's what I
21:19
heard I'm actually the roommate for 13 years for Seinfield show so there's a
21:24
George castanza that plays his best friend and then there's Kramer who's the roommate lives across the hall yeah he's
21:30
been on the show the guy that plays George he's been on the show Jason Jason very good guy yeah but I'm I'm the
21:36
really real roommate for 13 years and we've been best friends for 48 years I'm going to meet him for lunch soon as I
21:42
walk out of here tell him we said Peace I ain't going to tell him nothing what he do I'm me tell you what
21:48
he did he got married and we had to he and his wife told me that I'm out of all the people we know Jessica out of all
21:54
the people we know I'm the only one that did not give him a wedding gift at I
21:59
said look listen to me I was the best man in his wedding okay okay I flew
22:05
across country back in 19 whatever it was 25 years ago it was $1,500 each way
22:12
on the airplane that was a lot of money back then yeah we stayed at the Four Season Hotel that was $500 a night five
22:17
nights okay I rented a tuxedo and a limousine and I served this best man in Usher I told him you're looking at your
22:23
damn gift oh my God and then I told me you and your wife come upstairs and unwrap it
22:31
listen a lot of people I do that in the audience sometime what you laughing at you do you think I should have gotten
22:37
him a gift I think you did great J did I do all right didn't I I mean he should have what Heather I'm sorry but I'm
22:43
blessed that he's my best friend I think you did great out of all
22:48
the friends in the world you have now he has become the richest comedian in the world a billion they say he says he'll
22:55
deny it everybody it doesn't matter but I'm proud to to be his roommate he said stupid stuff we're flying to Las Vegas
23:01
last month he said you need to get your own plane go what the hell wrong with this plane we don't need no two
23:07
planes it's crazy he doesn't like me to talk about it sometime when I go to his house like I don't know this guy got so
23:14
much money on the island his house is so big when you punch the security code in the gate yeah ways is still giving you
23:20
direction to the house in 200 ft you will have reach your destination and
23:26
then it's just crazy you have to learn how to live at another level uhh they got some restaurants in New York City we
23:31
went to a restaurant tonight we ate steak and everything and just got up and walked out and walked out didn't pay the
23:38
bill there's some people there's some things going on in this city y'all have no ideas there there some rich there's
23:43
some richness in this city that nobody you have no idea it got up and walked out dude I've been him at the Rolex
23:50
place these people these there's a lot of rich people just get what they want and walk out they already set up and
23:56
people said just send them a bill that's a lot of you know you got a lot of Mone when you can do just send them the bill
24:01

26:51
people waiting for him to go crazy one time he just didn't do much remember that time he didn't do just said a few things but we want Eddie to come back
26:57

27:04
down to the seller every night when you got that much money and waiting you trying out new jokes like that and so
27:09
but we hope he does it well Martin is doing it salute to Martin Lawrence he's out and about getting busy with it right
