If this house could talk... 138 Woodland Avenue, Bay Head #bayhead #bayheadnj #ilovebayhead
Aug 6, 2026
I've stood quietly in Bay Head for more than 50 years, where the salt air carries stories older than any of us. Long before these streets were lined with graceful homes, this land was shaped by the wind, with dunes, bayberry bushes, and the tides of Barnegat Bay.
Then came the railroad, bringing families seeking summers by the sea, and Bay Head grew into one of the area’s most loved seaside communities. Through changing seasons, storms, and generations, I've watched bicycles roll down Woodland Avenue, neighbors become lifelong friends, and memories made one summer at a time.
I've welcomed laughter after long beach days, peaceful mornings before the town awakens, and generations who returned year after year. Homes like me don't just witness history, they become part of it. I may be built of wood and stone, but my true foundation has always been the people who have called me home. And now, after all the stories I've been privileged to witness, there's only one question I quietly ponder, who will write the next chapter of their story here?
