So when it comes to getting your study session done each and every day, what if there was a hard way and then a much easier way
0:08
It sounds redundant to actually ask the question, which one would you actually choose
0:14
But most people, again, without realizing it or really thinking through the whole thing, they choose the hard way by default
0:22
OK, so what is the hard way and what is the much easier way
0:26
Well, I would say the hard way is having a goal of studying four to five hours a day
0:31
This is if you're working full time and saving that for the evenings when you've already put in 10 to 12 hours at the office
0:39
Your brain is fried from work and you need to rely on sheer willpower to get yourself to sit down, to actually do the study session and then to try and stay alert and effective through the whole thing
0:52
And trying to do that on a daily basis consistently is extremely hard
0:57
So what is the much easier way? If you've seen some of our previous videos or specifically the video on finding the time to study, then you know that we teach our clients to have a two hour main study session in the morning so that it gets locked in
1:12
It's in the history books before you really even start your day so that you don't have to worry about it
1:17
What you want to do is make your morning study session a ritual
1:21
Now, this might sound weird, but once you have your study process really nailed down and you get used to doing it in the morning before you go to work or start work for the day, you will almost get to the point where you actually look forward to it because you get up
1:37
I mean, you're up early, so ideally it's nice and quiet in your house or your apartment
1:41
There's no distractions. Your brain is fresh. It just works so much better and it is so much easier than saving it for nighttime when you're tired and all you want to do is go to bed or veg out and watch Netflix
1:55
So the two hour main session consists of our strategies of planting the seeds, nurturing the seeds, and then the this solves a lot of problems in advance

Re-review strategy. You can get an in-depth overview of exactly what those strategies are and how they work with your current review course by signing up for one of our free strategic CPA study workshops where we will walk you through all that for free
