daily sessions too long question and answer

Hey Christian, so because you basically asked two or three or four questions, I'll go through them
0:09
I just wanted to, it's easier for me sometimes, especially with something like this, it's
0:13
going to take a bunch of explaining. And these are good questions because this is the type of thing that the answer can benefit
0:21
multiple people in the future or current other members as they read this, or I guess watch
0:27
this video. So I just wanted to answer your question on video
0:32
So I will start with the start from the top. You said I have Becker in my first 90 minutes
0:37
I'm only able to cover two modules in that time, usually go 15 to 20 minutes over
0:43
I'm curious how many modules most of you are able to complete in 90 minutes because I feel
0:48
like I'm moving too slow. All right. So, so the first thing to say there is, you know, this as you're just starting this study
0:57
process, especially where it's very like set. There are specific things, you know, according to the pro videos that you're supposed to
1:07
do, which will be a good thing in the long run. As you've probably heard on these podcasts, the big benefit that this gives people is
1:14
it gives people this actual structure and it's linear. It's there's a concrete thing to follow instead of just getting lost in the information
1:25
But that being said, you know, like you're experiencing when you try to implement this
1:31
right off the bat, it's taking longer, you know, than the timelines we give
1:36
That's fine. You don't need to worry about that when you're first starting this
1:41
The study process, especially this where there's specific, basically objectives, you know
1:50
it's like anything else. It's like a skill. You're going to get good at this study process, but it will take you a couple of weeks to
1:58
get in the groove. And the thing I always tell people is there are basically like the secrets or the nuances
2:05
of it. You know, like I can explain how it's supposed to work
2:09
But then as you implement it, like you're figuring out, it's more of a struggle or
2:15
you know, you just run into little issues. It takes longer than you think it's going to
2:21
You get hung up on certain little things. The levels of understanding or the nuances will be unlocked as you keep implementing
2:31
these strategies each day. And it just kind of comes with experience
2:37
I would say around two weeks in, this will really start to click and you'll just get
2:44
good at this process. Moving through new material, you'll have a good idea of things that you should write
2:51
down or ignore, how to dissect the questions, how to move through the new questions
2:57
You'll figure all that out. So the second, so basically don't worry about it
3:03
You know how much time it's taking right now, especially where you say you're only going
3:07
15 to 20 minutes over. That's really not that bad. The second thing is as far as how many modules to complete each day
3:15
The general idea is you want to use the study planner in your review course. So you would put in your exam dates and, you know, you might want to, whatever date you're
3:23
going to put into the Becker software, they're assuming that's your actual exam date
3:29
Now if you want to leave yourself a week before to just do a ton of those sets of 30 questions
3:35
the week before your exam, a bunch of people on these interviews I've been doing with the
3:39
podcast have been saying that. And you know, typically what I tell people is set your test on a Monday so that you have
3:48
Saturday and Sunday to do this process. If you can afford an extra week, I mean, typically that's better
3:56
You know, it just does extend the timeline between exams by a week
4:00
That's all personal preference. So back to what I'm saying, you put your exam date, exam date, whatever you want that to
4:07
be, you put that into Becker, it will spit out how many lessons or what lessons you're
4:11
supposed to get through each day. And then essentially because you're following this study program, you would ignore the
4:19
I mean, typically it gives you the hours, the recommended number of hours that each
4:24
lesson is supposed to take. Where you're doing this approach, you're going to be going through lessons much faster
4:30
And the key thing to remember is that you are, you're planting the seeds the first time through
4:38
Becker's expectation is that you're fully learning it from start to finish that one
4:43
time and then you move on and you don't really look at it again until your final review
4:48
So with this process, you're getting the basics down, the big picture framework for the lesson
4:55
and you're going to master the lesson as you do the re-review every day
5:00
You end with the, with the sets of 30 questions. And so you're going to be hitting everything over and over and over as the weeks go by
5:08
So the mastery is going to come in the daily re-review and also, you know, reading our
5:13
notes, taking quizzes on the app, the mini sessions, which hopefully you're doing those
5:18
as well. So you basically just follow to get through the material based on the exam date you put in
5:27
You're going to follow the lesson, lessons per day that Becker tells you based on the
5:34
exam planner. And so that's, let me, let me read this to your next question
5:44
So also when it comes to time to generate the 30 questions in the last 30 minutes, it
5:48
ends up being 60 to 90 minutes for me after completing all questions and going back to
5:54
make up flashcards. Okay. So another thing you can do, if you have time to go through all 30 questions and do what
6:06
you're doing, you know, make flashcards, if you have that 60 to 90 extra minutes, meaning
6:11
your study session ends up being four hours, there's not really a problem with that
6:16
Again, you're going to get much faster very quickly as you do these sets of 30 questions
6:22
each day. Now, if you don't have that much time, I mean, if you're, you know, physically needing
6:29
to leave to work or whatever, you can cut the 30 questions down to 10 questions
6:35
And as you get faster, maybe you generate 15 questions and then 20 and then work up
6:41
to 30 questions where you want to be able to go through 30 multiple choice questions
6:47
really in 20 or 25 minutes. And as you get better and better, you know, maybe week three or four, you're only going
6:56
to be missing four or five questions. And so as you review the 30 questions, you know, you make flashcards for the things that
7:05
you continually keep missing or for whatever reason are hard for you to understand personally
7:12
So that's basically, you know, what I would, that's basically how I would respond or answer
7:20
your concerns in these questions here. If you need to fit it into two hours, you just lessen the number of questions for the
7:30
review testlet. Instead of 30, you might do 10. And just doing that process, you're going to get good at that process, just like you're
7:39
going to get good at the planting the seeds method over the first 90 minutes for new material
7:47
So overall, I would say don't be too hard on yourself in the beginning
7:52
The key thing is to keep executing each day. And you're just going to, it's all going to start to click after about the first week
8:01
and a half, two weeks of doing this daily process. So yeah, that's how I would answer that
8:07
Hopefully that was helpful
