Are you struggling with the CPA study process? Maybe you feel like you don't
0:04
have enough time in the day to study as much as you need to, or you realize that
0:08
you're forgetting a lot of what you studied even just a few days ago, or
0:11
maybe you're just overwhelmed with the amount of material in general and as time goes by you're not even sure if you're making progress. In this short
0:19
video I have three quick tips that can help you quickly turn your study sessions
0:23
around. I'm Nate with SuperfastCPA and we specialize in helping busy CPA
0:28
candidates pass the CPA exams. So let's get to those three tips. The first tip is
0:33
that the practice questions for any given lesson are really your roadmap to
0:37
what's important. You can watch a 40 minute video lecture, but if you'll just
0:41
look over the practice questions first, you'll notice that for most lessons you
0:45
really only see questions from the same two to three main points from the topic
0:49
Also, looking through the questions first will give you great context about what
0:54
you really need to learn from that chapter. I have more details on exactly
0:57
how to do this in a minute. The second tip, switch your study sessions to the
1:01
morning. After work you're tired, your brain is fried, and you probably know
1:05
from experience that it's very hard to stay on task and focus. Try switching to
1:10
a two-hour session in the morning. Two hours in the morning when your brain is
1:14
fresh is worth three to four hours after work, and you can leave the house with
1:18
your most important task of the day crossed off your list. That way it's already done and no one can take it away from you, and nothing can pop up and get
1:26
in the way of your study session because it's already done. The third tip is to put your smartphone to work. Instead of scrolling through Instagram
1:33
on your phone at lunch, read some review notes or do some quizzes, and whenever
1:37
you're in your car, be listening to audio notes. This can easily add two to three
1:41
extra hours of exposure a day without having to spend any extra time sitting
1:46
with your review course. Now I know I went over these fast, so if you want a more detailed explanation of how to make each of these strategies work and 28
1:54
other tips like this, then grab our free strategy guide, The Busy Candidate's
1:58

2:03
