So this is video two in our series of 31 tips to pass the CPA exams fast. In this
0:06
tip we're going to cover how to study when you don't feel like it. Now this
0:11
will come in handy possibly every single day when you don't feel like studying
0:16
but you know that you need to. So let's go into this. This is video number two
0:22
out of 31. We do have the full free guide of 31 tips to pass the CPA exams fast
0:28
you can access at superfastcpa.com slash free. The tip number two is finding
0:36
your why. Now again this might sound cliche overused something that you've
0:42
heard a bunch of times but you probably haven't spent any time getting really
0:47
clear on. Now if you're studying for the CPA exams I mean the basic premise is
0:54
that you're trying to get your CPA because you know that that's kind of the
0:59
final big hoop that you need to jump through for your education for your
1:03
career. So the basic idea is there you know you know that you need to get your
1:07
CPA. But day to day you're gonna struggle with sitting down to study every single
1:13
day for months on end and it's gonna become a huge grind. You need a reason
1:20
that you can think of okay this is why I'm doing this I've got to keep this in
1:25
mind. And we have a bunch of resources on getting very clear on your goals and
1:29
even creating like a CPA exam mission statement that's part of you know video
1:36
number three. But here are some ideas just to start with. First of all this is
1:43
the big thing higher pay. The CPA designation will dramatically increase your career earning power. For the long term you know there's that it's not a
1:55
rumor the fact out there that over the course of your career you will earn a
2:00
million dollars or more more than someone who works in accounting through
2:05
their career and never gets the CPA. The second thing is opportunities. The CPA
2:11
designation there is a very clear cutoff especially at higher level opportunities
2:18
that non-CPAs simply will not be considered for. And again that's just
2:23
another fact that is self-evident. The third thing is just being done. For me
2:30
this was the big thing. The CPA is the last big kind of education hoop for you
2:38
to jump through. You're now officially a professional once you get the CPA and
2:43
you can just focus on building and growing your career. And so in the CPAs
2:49
you quickly find out how big of a project it is especially you're probably
2:56
working full-time and you're trying to deal with this in your free time and get
3:00
this out of your way. And again it's gonna take hours every single day of
3:07
dedicated studying no matter what kind of student you were in school. The CPA
3:12
exams are very difficult for everybody and so it's just this big thing that
3:16
you're trying to get through. And so just the idea of being done just becomes very
3:21
motivating especially once you taste your first success meaning passing your first section. That's just a huge leverage point. Once you figure that out
3:32
you know you kind of have a process and you know that you're on your way to being
3:37
done if you can get through that first section or get that first passing score
3:41
Again this is just one of 31 tips from our free guide. This guide covers
3:46
motivation to study, time management strategies, study strategies. Study strategies make up the the bulk of the 31 tips. We're we're still in the
3:56
motivation section with these first two videos and then exam day strategies. So
