Yemen: Houthis Advance Towards Strategic Yemeni Port City.

Yemen - September 10, 2026 Houthi forces advanced overnight along Yemen’s western coastline and moved closer to the strategic port city of Mocha, as government forces reportedly withdrew from positions in the area. The advance comes despite gains by government forces in desert areas further inland. The latest movement brings the Houthis closer to the Bab el-Mandeb strait, one of the world’s most important shipping routes. Fighting and troop movements were reported around the area at dawn.
