US, Los Angeles: Vermont Knolls Hit-and-Run Autoped.

Los Angeles, United States - August 14, 2026 08/13/2026 08:42 pm GMT-0700 VERMONT KNOLLS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police and fire departments responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of South Vermont Avenue and West 83rd Street. One individual was down in the roadway and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The Los Angeles Police Department's South Traffic Division is investigating the incident as a possible fatality. Officers on the scene stated they were unable to confirm a fatality at this time.
