Aug 11, 2026
Los Angeles, United States - August 11, 2026 08/10/2026 08:43 pm GMT-0700 LONG BEACH, Calif. – High tides pushed seawater into normally dry areas along Bay Shore Avenue and E 1st Street in Long Beach Monday evening. Around 8:30 p.m., water was observed along the 100 block of Bay Shore Avenue as elevated tides caused minor coastal flooding near harbor and beach areas. According to the National Weather Service, large high tides are expected to bring minor coastal flooding to normally dry harbor and sandy beach areas each evening through Wednesday. Monday’s tide was expected to peak shortly after 8 p.m. at approximately 6.94 feet.
