VARIOUS DRONE SHOTS OF SEMI SUBMERSIBLE CRANE VESSEL SAIPEM 7000 PASSING THROUGH BOSPHORUS STRAITISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - AUG. 6, 2026: The Saipem 7000, one of the world's largest semi-submersible crane vessels, transited Türkiye’s Bosphorus Strait on Thursday, Aug. 6. Designed by Gusto Engineering in 1984, the massive vessel was built between 1985 and 1987 by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at its yard in Monfalcone, in northern Italy's Gulf of Trieste. Saipem-7000 has been in service since 1988 and the vessel is currently located in Cartagena, by the Mediterranean coast in southeastern Spain. Gross tonnage of the vessel is 117,812.
