The tournament is named in honor of those killed in Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip. Since Oct. 8, 2023, Israel has been carrying out genocide in Gaza, killing at least 73,470 Palestinians and injuring 174,540 as of Thursday, while victims remain under the rubble and on roads that ambulance and rescue teams cannot reach.
