Gambia took an early lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Omar Colley to end the first half 1-0. Iran responded quickly after the break, mounting a second-half comeback. Arya Yousefi equalized in the 47th minute, while Ramin Rezaeian scored in the 59th minute and Mehdi Taremi found the net in the 68th minute to secure the victory. Turkish referee Atilla Karaoglan officiated the match. The Iranian squad will continue its World Cup preparation camp in the southern Turkish resort city until June 5, with their next friendly match scheduled against Mali on June 4.
