The train, operating on the Gdynia-Zielona Gora route, struck the trailer of the truck. The driver reportedly did not move the vehicle despite warnings from people nearby to break through the barrier and clear the tracks. The train driver was injured in the collision and taken to hospital, while the truck driver and passengers on the train escaped without injury. Following the accident, authorities warned drivers trapped at level crossings to break through the barriers without hesitation to clear the tracks.
