Palestinians hold demonstration in Ramallah to demand the handover of bodies held by Israel.

.RAMALLAH, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - AUG. 26, 2026: Dozens of Palestinians held a demonstration in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, demanding the handover of bodies held by Israel and clarification of the fate of missing people. The demonstration was held at the call of the “National Campaign for the Retrieval of Martyrs’ Bodies and Disclosure of the Fate of the Missing” on the occasion of the “National Day for the Recovery of the Bodies of Palestinian and Arab Martyrs,” observed annually on Aug. 27. At the demonstration in Ramallah, participants emphasized the right of the families of the deceased to receive the bodies of their relatives and bury them in accordance with religious rites.
