In an interview for the July 2026 issue of Vogue Italia, the Queen of Pop explained that she likes to take regular breaks from the entertainment industry because "that's how you fuel your imagination." Madonna went on to argue that art is not necessarily made from a "very pure place" anymore. "Now to have a record deal you think about how many followers you have. That's why in (new song) Bring Your Love I say, 'Don't try to distract me with numbers.'”
