RESIDENTS FLYING KITES IN LEBANON (TWO SHOTS) ZRARIEH, LEBANON - SEPT. 4: Thousands of people attended a kite festival in the town of Zrarieh in southern Lebanon on Friday, as Israeli attacks continued to target parts of the country. The eighth edition of the festival was organized in the Zahr al-Hawa–Al-Tulul area under the slogan “The land and the sky are ours,” in cooperation between the Union of Zahrani Coast Municipalities and the Said and Sadi Fakhri Development Foundation. Residents and visitors from surrounding cities and towns gathered for the event, where thousands of kites filled the sky. Children attending with their families enjoyed the festival despite ongoing Israeli attacks in the region. Later on Friday, Israeli airstrikes targeted several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing five people and injuring 24 others. A ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel that took effect on April 17 was subsequently extended several times, but the Israeli army has continued attacks on Lebanon.
