Lebanon: Road Closures in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley Amid Second Night of Protests.

Baalbek, Lebanon - June 28, 2026 Protesters blocked the international Riyak–Baalbek highway at the Jbaili roundabout in Douris by burning tires and shutting down traffic in both directions, in response to the signing of a framework agreement. The disruption came during the second night of protests in the area, as Hezbollah supporters also reportedly blocked parts of the Beqaa Valley highway near Baalbek amid escalating tensions over the Israel–Lebanon agreement.
