The state-run National News Agency said Israeli aircraft bombed the town of Mansouri, south of Tyre city, without giving details about injuries or damage. NNA said Israeli forces carried out several detonations on the outskirts of Mansouri. The agency said Israeli forces used a barrel containing powerful explosives in one of these detonations, the sound of which was heard in surrounding villages. Israeli warplanes also carried out two consecutive airstrikes in Mansouri, targeting several homes in the town. According to NNA, the Israeli bombardment has caused widespread destruction in the town. Artillery shelling was also reported in the Salouki and Hujair valleys in Nabatieh. In Beirut, an Israeli drone was seen flying at low altitude over the capital’s southern suburbs, the same source said. In the Marjayoun district, the agency said Israeli forces caused destruction in the town of Bani Hayyan, without providing further details. Israeli aircraft also struck the town of Kfour in Nabatieh, completely destroying the home of late Lebanese lawmaker Habib Sadek, which housed an art and cultural museum, a literary and cultural library, and a collection of paintings. The attacks came amid continued Israeli escalation across southern Lebanon despite an agreement between Beirut and Tel Aviv providing for a gradual Israeli withdrawal as part of a US-mediated negotiating process. Since March, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed more than 4,000 people and injured over 12,000 others, while forcing more than 1 million people from their homes, according to Lebanese authorities.
