Beirut, Lebanon - September 14, 2026 Residents of Haret Hreik in Beirut’s southern suburbs received calls urging them to evacuate their buildings, prompting several nearby buildings to be cleared amid reports of gunshots. Fearing the calls were Israeli evacuation warnings, residents quickly left the area. Lebanese security services later determined that the calls were fake and intended to spread panic, confirming that no Israeli evacuation order had been issued.
