CHILD WATCHING DEMOLITION JERUSALEM, PALESTINE - SEPT. 2, 2026: Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian-owned three-story residential building in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday, Sept. 2, citing a lack of required building permits. Since Israel launched its genocide on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, it has intensified attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, while violence by occupiers has also increased. The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said occupiers carried out 628 attacks against Palestinians, their land and property during August. In a statement, the commission said the attacks directly harmed 164 Palestinians, including 20 children and 17 women. It added that Israeli occupiers also targeted 21,508 trees, including 19,375 olive trees. About 750,000 Israeli occupiers live in 141 illegal settlements and 224 outposts in the occupied West Bank, with 250,000 in 15 illegal settlements in occupied East Jerusalem, according to Palestinian figures.
