Iran: U.S. Strike and Explosion Reported in Southern Iran.

Bushehr, Iran - July 09, 2026 Local sources shared footage they said shows the aftermath of a reported U.S. missile strike on 12 civilian boats in Asaluyeh, located in Bushehr Province, southern Iran. The sources alleged that none of the vessels belonged to the IRGC. Separately, local reports said an explosion occurred at a petrochemical facility in the Asaluyeh industrial zone, a major energy hub on the Persian Gulf coast.
