The incident took place on Prime Minister Neem Corridor Road, Numaligarh in Golaghat district in northern India’s Assam, around 4:30 pm on August 3. Visuals show the elephant approaching the moving tractor before aggressively ramming it. The impact forces the tractor to jolt as the driver attempts to escape the animal’s path. The elephant appears highly agitated as it repeatedly pushes against the vehicle, creating a tense situation for the driver and people nearby. The driver manages to move away from the elephant, narrowly avoiding what could have been a potentially fatal encounter. Such incidents highlight the dangers faced by motorists and transport workers travelling through elephant habitats in Assam.
