More than 150 people have suffered injuries so far. Four participants sustained leg fractures while several others were injured after being struck on their heads. The incident took place in Chhindwara, in central India's Madhya Pradesh, on September 11. Visuals show that amid a large gathering, two groups can be seen hurling stones at each other. Thousands of people have gathered at the spot to witness the intense confrontation. According to reports, stone-pelting continued between villagers from Pandhurna and Sawargaon during the Gotmar Fair. More than 150 people have suffered injuries so far. Four participants sustained leg fractures while several others suffered head injuries. Four people reportedly received serious injuries including shoulder and leg fractures. One critically injured person was referred to a Nagpur hospital. With rainfall raising river water levels an SDRF team was deployed at the venue. The Collector and SP remained present at the fairground. Police teams from three districts were deployed for security. Drone cameras monitored the area.
