A quiet morning turned frightening when a wild boar suddenly charged a 59-year-old man sitting on his veranda, leaving him injured in the leg before fleeing the property. The incident occurred in Kattippara, near Thamarassery in Kozhikode district, in southern India’s Kerala, at around 5:59 am on September 16. The visuals show the aftermath of the startling encounter, as the wild animal is seen rushing through the cleared garden before retreating into the nearby field following the man’s commotion. The injured man was identified as M.K. Abdul Khader, 59. He was reportedly reading a newspaper when the animal unexpectedly entered the veranda and attacked him. The boar struck his leg with its tusks, causing injuries. Abdul Khader was later taken to Thamarassery Government Taluk Hospital for medical treatment. Residents say wild boar encounters have become a serious concern in the area. Locals also recalled that an auto-rickshaw driver died there three years ago after a wild boar reportedly jumped onto his vehicle.
