VARIOUS OF FLOODWATER COVERING ROADS AND RESIDENTIAL AREAS / PEOPLE TRYING TO WALK, DRIVEBHAGALPUR, INDIA - SEPTEMBER 9, 2026: The Ganga River has risen sharply in Bhagalpur, India, causing severe flooding in villages and urban areas and disrupting daily life for residents. Floodwater has reached roads and spilled onto NH-80, a major highway connecting Bhagalpur with Patna. Water has also entered Naya Tola in Ward No. 21, where residents are struggling to cope with the flooding. Some residents have been forced to prepare meals while sitting on cots as floodwater surrounds their homes.
